Nashville school shooter’s manifesto reveals he was inspired by Hitler and Candace Owens

The Nashville school shooter reportedly wrote that his warped ideology was inspired by Candace Owens before opening fire on two classmates and turning the gun on himself.

Solomon Henderson, 17, fatally shot Josselin Corea Escalante, 16, and wounded another student before killing himself during the rampage at Antioch High School.

The horror in the school canteen took place around 11am on Wednesday and was partly streamed online.

It has now emerged that police are investigating an extensive manifesto allegedly written by Henderson which provides some insight into the killer's twisted thinking.

Much of the writing is about Henderson being “ashamed to be black” and praising the work of Hitler and the Nazis.

Under the heading 'Are there certain groups or people who have radicalized you the most?' the name of political commentator Owens is mentioned alongside far-right influencer Nick Fuentes.

“Candace Owens has been a big influence on me. Every time she spoke, I was amazed by her insights and her own views helped push me further into the belief of violence over the Jewish question,” the manifesto reads.

Nashville school shooter Solomon Henderson wrote “today is a good day to die” before opening fire on two classmates and turning the gun on himself

Owens is a right-wing commentator who has been accused of downplaying the Holocaust and was previously denied a visa to enter Australia because of her comments about Muslims, Jews and her 'ability to provoke dissent'.

Just before Henderson struck, he posted chilling warnings about his plans, writing “today is a good day to die.”

“I thought someone had found out when I was called to the office, but it was just a probation officer,” Henderson wrote on his BlueSky account. “We are confident that everything will go according to plan.”

The last mentions in the manifesto came on Nov. 18 — the same day Metro Nashville police received a call reporting that a school shooting had occurred at Antioch High School, which they later determined was a hoax, according to News Channel 5.

'I felt so miserable. I wanted to commit suicide. I just couldn't handle it anymore. “I am a worthless subhuman, a living, breathing disgrace,” the gunman allegedly wrote.

'Very mine [in real life] Friends have outgrown me, pretending they didn't know me. Becoming me was so damn humiliating. That's why I spend all day dissociating.'

Much of the rest of the document, which is said to be linked to a social media account linked to Henderson, focuses on his struggles with race and racial issues.

Photos have also emerged showing the teenager giving the Nazi salute.

The manifesto also details his thoughts on Antioch High School, just outside Nashville, which has a majority of black and Hispanic students.

“School is a daycare center,” he wrote. 'It's impossible to really think. You say things because other people have said them before, and then repeat them ad nauseum somewhere else.

“At school we learn to get up early, be silent, sit for hours, do tasks you hate and then repeat them.”

The manifesto included photos of the weapons he planned to use in the killing and said others had advised him online on how to carry out the attack.

The writings also quote Kanye West and say the shooter prepared for the shooting by playing violent video games and reenacting parts of the manifestos of other famous killers.

Henderson was one of two people killed in yesterday's shocking rampage.

A 17-year-old student who was injured was taken to Vanderbilt University Hospital with an abrasion to the arm but was in stable condition.

A fourth boy was treated after suffering a facial injury during the commotion, but police confirmed he had not been shot.

Survivors recalled the terrifying moment when Henderson burst into the cafeteria and began spraying bullets.

A 12th grade student recalled how he initially thought the sounds were coming from someone breaking a chip bag, before coming to the horrifying realization that it was an active shooter.

“It was just a rush, it made me want to do something crazy. “I tried to run out and help people, but my mind was so messed up I didn't know what to do,” he told WZTV.

'There was a lot of screaming, a lot of fear. People were afraid of dying, there was running as if someone was chasing them, as if he was a monster that only killed people.

“I feel relieved and safe, but I feel sorry for the victims who lost their lives,” he added.

“Homicide Unit detectives, along with their law enforcement partners at the MNPD and federal/state agencies, are investigating deeply concerning online writings and social media posts associated with 17-year-old Solomon Henderson as they attempt to determine the motive behind Henderson's gunfire set. Metro Nashville Police said in a statement.
