Server Sparks Fury After revealing controversial hack to secure bigger tips from customers

A photo paints a thousand words – but it is not guaranteed that those words are necessarily true.

Aislin Parker, a server in San Diego, went to Tap To share her trick for securing bigger tips that have yielded a heated debate about her ethics.

The restaurant employee revealed that she places a youth photo of herself in her server book to mislead customers by thinking that she is a mother who in turn encourages them to give more.

“I placed my baby photo in my server book to look like a single mother who has to bid,” she admitted in one video.

“If I take orders, I have this,” she said, pointing to a photo of a small child who wore a pink outfit, who was stuck at the front of her book.

Tipping is a hot button topic For both customers and servers, where some suggest that the tipping culture has gone ‘too far’.

Although tips are an integral part of the American hospitality culture and customers are regularly reminded that waiting for the waiting staff is extremely going out.

Last year Shea, an actor and employee established in New York City, shocked her followers when she called the alleged low tipper when she went to the bathroom.

“Not in this economy,” she raged. “Not in New York City – one of the most expensive cities to live in.”

Shea continued and explained that she had spoken with other servers and they had also received similar tips from the woman.

The server said she saw the woman waiting for the bathroom when she started asking her about her low tips.
