Nothing headphones (1): design
“We wanted to create something radically differently,” said nothing CEO Carl Pei during a Lauch event in London. He showed a series of images of headphones from competitors and said that nothing specific wanted that nothing would leave headphones (1), and that is absolutely true.
There are some daring choices here, as you can see from the images. But it is not only in the appearance of the headphones: nothing has deliberately left from touch controls to good old-fashioned tactile buttons and a role for a more precise way to navigate media, adjust the volume and switch ANC modes.
The key control in the app is the button, an adjustable operation that cannot activate anything that Channel Hop function can be activated. These cycles between recent audio apps or playlists, or favorite functions without having to dig through menus and screens.
It can also be configured to activate speech assignments, start news reporter or to open the essential space, which is an AI-driven place to store speech nuts, memories and “fleeting thoughts”. Or you can simply set it to activate other functions of the headphones, if you prefer.
The Earpads are made with leather ear cushions that are designed to form naturally to the shape of your head, reduce the pressure and to offer a comfortable fit for the entire day wear.

The drivers are 40 mm adapted dynamic drivers that promise the deep bass, detailed midtones and crispy treble, and the headphones are supplied with hybrid ANC, a transparency mode and spatial audio with head follow.
There is a 3.5 mm connection for wired listening and USB-C for lossless Hi-Res, and the headphones also support LDAC for high-quality wireless audio.
The active noise research system has double feed-forward and feedback microphones, and there is a four-MIC system that is supported by AI and trained on more than 28 million sound scenarios to deliver clear speech calls.
Listening time is promised as a maximum of 35 hours by ANC, and a fast load of five minutes will yield 2.4 hours of ANC-compatible playbacks. Bluetooth is 5.3 with double device connection, fast pair and low latency mode.
