After a booking in Dortmund’s third group match against Ulsan HD, the first Sunderland Star took another yellow card in the round of 16 draw with Monterrey for a late tackle on Nelson Deossa.

According to the rules of the Club World Cup, two yellow cards result in separate games in a ban of one match.

The result is that Bellingham is suspended for Dortmund’s quarter -final collision with Real Madrid, which means that he lacks the chance to play against his older brother.

The suspension came as a shock for Jobe.

Dortmund -Baas Niko Kovac revealed: “I think we all saw that he [Jobe Bellingham] Was very disappointed.

“I think he didn’t know exactly that the second yellow card was a suspension during the break. He was a bit surprised.

“Ok, he’s young. His brother is also young, so I am convinced that they will face each other, perhaps next season in the Champions League and then the future. The future is for them.
