There is nothing better than a fresh, refreshing beer on a hot summer day – and now there is a definitive list of the best after the International Beer and Cider Awards have released their official winners.
The competition is run by the North American Bewers Association, a non -profit that promotes traditional beer and culture. While beer submissions from all over the world are accepted, most Pils gold medal categories were won by American breweries.
Judges assessed 1,426 submissions in Idaho Falls for this year’s competition and breaks them up in different categories.
The results found lower alcoholic and lighter beers in popularity.
According to Harvey Hembree, the competition coordinator, Latin American or tropical style bearings were striking categories for lower this year.
‘We have noticed a general trend to lighter, more sessible [low alcoholic content] beers in all categories and in particular bearings, “he said Forbes.
He added that this year there were more Dark lower and Asian lager moves for the competition.
“The dark lager categories were very competitive, which indicates that the market for sessive dark beer is on the rise,” he said.

Recently scientists revealed Why some people love beer – And say it starts when you are still in the womb.
As part of a recent study, scientists from Swansea University interview more than 250 people about their drinking habits while measuring the length of their fingers.
It is thought that finger length is a metric for how much testosterone we are exposed in the womb – and therefore how ‘male’ we are.
According to the findings, the more testosterone we are exposed in the womb, the more alcohol we drink as an adult – although it is unclear why.
“Alcohol consumption is an important social and economic problem,” said study -author John Manning, professor of evolutionary biology at Swansea University.
‘That is why it is important to understand why alcohol consumption shows significant differences between individuals.
“It is possible that differences in alcohol consumption are stated in the womb.”
And so, if you are someone who is planning to enjoy a beer on the fourth July, look at the prize winners below.
