This is the shocking moment that a jealous boyfriend on CCTV was caught on the ear of a man to dance with his girlfriend at a party.

Beau Lyons, 27, flew into an anger at a ‘mini -bar crawl’ with his partner Shaunnia Connolly and their friends while celebrating a birthday in Newport, South Wales.

A court heard that victim let Shane Edwards look like something of Star Wars‘After they are deformed in the glass attack.

The group had traveled 150 miles before he ended the night in Mojo’s club in Newport in March.

While the friends drank and danced at the bar, Lyons flew in anger in the popular nightclub after he saw Mr Edwards sitting and spoke with his girlfriend.

CCTV images showed Mr Edwards dancing with Miss Connolly before bought a drink from the bar.

The shocking images then showed Lyons who launched himself with Mr Edwards after he saw him dancing with his partner.

He grabbed a glass nearby and hit it in the face of the victim before he threw him in a table.

After the shocking attack, a bouncer jumped into action and pulled the jealous boyfriend of the injured Mr. Edwards while clubbers in Mojos watched in horror.

Public Prosecutor Nuhu Gobir said that Lyons had already argued with Miss Connolly before he did not surprise Mr Edwards.

Mr. Edwards revealed that he drove during the attack and came to the hospital covered with blood after his ear was almost completely demolished.

Since the incident, the defenseless victim said he feels ‘distorted’ and is afraid to go out.

Mr. Gobir said that everything Mr Edwards remembered woke up in the hospital covered with blood from his chest down.

He was transferred to Grange University Hospital and turned out to have suffered a 5 cm wound through his left ear to the base of the skull.

The glass had cut out skin tissue and the underlying structures of the ear through all layers, cartilage and the ear effectively splits in two.

He argued guilty of injury with intention and possession of an attacking weapon.

In a personal statement from the victim, Mr Edwards said: ‘Since the incident I cry a lot, I have been so upset about the state of my ear. I feel that I am distorted.

‘I had a very bad fear, including nightmares about someone who always attacks me. This happens every evening and I don’t get much sleep.

‘I always look over my shoulder when I’m gone and go out with friends all the time, I don’t want to be alone. If it wasn’t for one friend, I would not go out at all.

‘Daily day I have trouble copeing, I am anxious and paranoid and suffer with depression anyway, but this incident made it worse.

‘My left ear is permanently distorted and strangers have made comments about it and someone said that I looked like something from Star Wars that made my self -confidence down.

‘I have problems with my ear, it leaked liquid and I had to go to the hospital to have it repaired and it was infected. Since the incident I have had problems hearing my wounded ear making it difficult to be in conversation. ‘

Judge Eugene Egan said: “The lower part of the ear has been washed away. You used a glass as a weapon.

‘In this case you really launched yourself at the victim and brought the glass crashed on the left side of his ear. You were in your system under the influence of alcohol and cocaine. ‘

Lyons was sentenced to three years in prison.
