Homeland Security Officers and federal agents fell over the office of an immigration lawyer who focused on 'crimmigration' on Thursday, just a few days after President Donald Trump started fighting illegal immigration.

Federal agents were taken away evidence from the law firms of Joseph Molina Flynn in construction on Dorrance Street in the center of Providence, Rhode Island – a sanctuary.

Videos that were placed online showed officers who took boxes with files and load them in the scores of black SUVs and police vehicles.

An FBI spokesperson would only confirm to the Providence Journal that the office was 'authorized activities' in the building by the court.

But two people with knowledge of the research told WPRI that Federal Agents Flynn investigated accusations that he cheated his clients who were looking for representation about immigration -related matters.

They said that the raid was not related to Trump's harsh action against sanctuary such as Providence. But the federal action came when Trump started his massive deportation program and drove hundreds of illegal immigrants from the country.

FLYNN – A resident of Colombia who bragged about his expertise in a field that he called 'Crimmigration' – was not accused of misconduct from Thursday evening.

But shortly after the news about the raid broke, the mayor of the nearby City Central Falls announced that Flynn had resigned there in his role as a municipal judge.

“I was deeply concerned to see the reports of an FBI search in the law firm of Joseph Molina Flynn,” said Mayor Maria Rivera in a statement.

“As the Central Falls community knows, his transparency and accountability priorities are,” she continued. “In an attempt to maintain the integrity and focus of the municipal court, Judge Molina Flynn officially resigned.”

Municipal Court Associate Judge Robert McConnell will temporarily fill in until the position of Flynn has been filled.

Flynn was the first openly gay person and previously previously without a paper migrant to serve on the couch in Central Falls in 2021.

He had come to the United States from Colombia when he was only nine years old, after the arrival of his relatives.

The judge was on a visitor visa that he was too long, and lived for 15 years without papers before he obtained his legal permanent resident status, Fox News reports.

He had previously told how he was excited to arrive in the United States and felt a “overwhelming feeling of peace” after leaving a home country plagued by violence.

When he went to school, Flynn said he couldn't say much further than “what?” As a result, all other children in his class are laughing.

“I was determined that they would no longer laugh and I would learn to speak English.”

Flynn then went to Summa Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

He obtained a Juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and founded Molina Flynn Law Offices as a solo practice in 2015, aimed at immigration, family and criminal cases.

Flynn was also a deputy professor at the Roger Williams University Law School, where he taught about the intersectionality between crime and immigration – what he called 'crimigration'.

The raid then came to the approval of a regulation in Providence that would codify protection for migrants without papers, according to the public's radio.

One of the changes that the city would make was changes that prohibit local law enforcement to provide 'proactive' federal law enforcement agents with information that could lead to the arrest of anyone who is without documentation in the country when agents are not a judicial deposit.

The police could still provide information about illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, but the changed language would forbid people who have schools, places of worship, health facilities and courts to leave immigration officials on their property without a judicial order.

Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee also said that the state would not prosecute immigrants who have no documentation unless they have also committed a crime.

But after Trump took office on Monday, he sent federal prosecutors to investigate all state or city officials who oppose immigration enforcement efforts.

The directive states that “the federal law prohibits national and local actors to resist, hinder, hinder, to hinder or otherwise not comply with legal immigration -related commands and requests.”

It suggests that anyone who disobedulates the law could be confronted with criminal prosecution.

A sweeping of shrines on Tuesday led to the arrest of more than 300 illegal migrants, in which immigration officers arrested more than 1,300 migrants in the early days of his presidency.

Immigration and Customs enforcement (ICE) said on x They also submitted 373 deportation teasers – requests to local police services to keep arrested people until IJs can pick them up – because Trump takes back the power.

Of the 1,300 migrants who have been arrested so far, 'more than 1,000 of them were criminals', border Czar Tom Homan told NewsNation on Thursday evening.
