Friends of Sydney Socialite and stylist Kelly Smythe grow in the aftermath of her shocking scam scandal.

The one-off ‘IT’ girl from the 2000s was arrested in May for alleged regulations and was taken into custody at the police station of Surry Hills in SydneyInner East.

The 47-year-old, who lives in the most expensive Strait in Australia in Point Piper, spent the night at the station before he appeared before she defeated the Center Local Court via a Videolink, where she submitted a release application while she was held in pre-trial detention.

Now her friends have broken their silence about the scandal and reveal that not everything is as it seems and the ‘truth will come true’.

“There was an enormous amount for Kelly that only people in her inner circle are aware,” a good friend told the On Sunday confidential.

The insider then shared a revelation with regard to the stylist of celebrities that sheds some light on her mental well -being at the time of the alleged violations.

“She was in a very scary place and a victim of serious DV for many years,” said the source.

“The man involved was eventually accused and guilty of his crimes, but it changed her and she never recovered completely.”

The glamorous life of the New Zealand Socialiteit unraveled at night after being accused of two counts of using a false document to obtain ownership and two counts of obtaining or trying to get a forbidden medicine through false representation.

A loading plate reportedly showed Smythe a false letter and two fraudulent scripts to get Dexamfetamine and Lisdexamfetamine from the Paddington Compounding Pharmacy in Oxford Street in February and 15 May.

Dexamfetamine medication is used in attention deficit disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy (sleep disorder) while lisdexamfetamine treats moderate to severe eating disorder in adults.

Smythe’s lawyer Charles Alexander submitted a release application on behalf of his customer.

“She knows she should stay on the right and narrow,” he told the court.

Magistrate Sharon Freund said that the facts of the police indicated that further charges could be dealt with, but no new charges were made.

The magistrate granted bail but added: “I suspect that your client may have a problem with the medicines that she has prescribed herself.”

Smythe, who act during her video-linked court, said, “Thank you very much, ma’am.”

The case is back before the court in July.

At the height of her career, Kelly was a seven network stylist and the go-to fashion adviser of the Elite of Sydney, Styling Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Hawkins, Jodi Gordon and Sonia Kruger.

But after five years at the helm of the styling department of the wardrobe, seven ties with her break.

With the local fashion industry that staggered on the edge of collapse, Smythe struggled with freelance work and former friends say she had disappeared from the spotlights.

She made the knot in 2011 with Alex Nikolaidis, 10 years younger than she, in St Mark’s Church in the Ritzy Eastern Suburbs enclave of Darling Point for customers and Sydney’s Society Set including Roxy Jacenko, Holly Brisley and Chris Bath.

The couple welcomed a son, who is now 14, a year before he ‘I do’. They are now divorced.
