The Moment Vanderpump Rules Star Scheana Shay Gets BITTEN By The King’s Guard Horse… And She Becomes The Latest London Tourist To Ignore A Warning Sign
Scheana Shay’s London holiday earlier in July unfortunately went awry when a Royal Guard horse tried to bite her.
The 39-year-old Vanderpump Rules star joined the group of tourists who got too close to the horses, as documented on TikTok on Wednesday.
The horse, which was parked outside Buckingham Palace, had a prominently displayed sign next to it that read: ‘NB — Horses can kick or bite — Do not touch the horse.
In the video, Scheana can be seen mounting the beautiful dark brown horse and turning back to the camera.
But when she turned around, her high ponytail appeared to brush against the horse, which may have been the trigger.
Scheana Shay’s London vacation earlier in July was cut short when a King’s Guard horse tried to bite her
A TikTok video captured her getting close to the source just as it bared its teeth and quickly bit her bare arm.
Scheana didn’t appear to smile for the photo, but the horse quickly interrupted her by jumping to the side and nipping at her arm, which was visible beneath the sleeves of her black mini dress.
The reality star stumbled forward with a shocked expression on her face, which was clearly visible despite her huge sunglasses.
She let out a little squeal as she walked away from the horse, but the nibble was so timid that she began to laugh nervously at her companions as she quickly walked away.
As usual, the member of the Royal Guard on horseback ignored the encounter.
The video was posted by the account @kingsguardlondonsitesduring which countless tourists were bitten or beaten by the horses of the Royal Guard.
It appears that Scheana did not visit the account’s page until several weeks after her trip to London. It is unclear whether the original poster even knew she was a public figure.
Around the same time Scheana was bitten, another tourist had a much more serious encounter with a Royal Guard horse.
Video footage of the incident shows a woman in a Pink Floyd T-shirt getting close to the horse for a photo. The horse already appeared agitated and was seen snapping at other people on the horse.

Like many tourists, she got very close to the horse, despite large signs next to it warning visitors not to go near the horse due to the risk of biting and kicking; the King’s Guard horse, pictured in London in 2015

The woman ran away to her party and a man dabbed at the bite with a cotton swab, but she began to stumble and appeared to lose consciousness at times
In a seemingly unprecedented move, the Royal Guard told a person filming him to “get a police officer” to help the injured woman
She screamed as the horse leaned in to bite her on the arm.
The woman ran back to her party and a man tried to clean her arm with a cotton swab, but the woman fell to the ground and appeared to be unconscious at times.
The injury was apparently so serious that the Royal Guard took the seemingly unprecedented step of pointing his sword at a cameraman and then asking him, “Can you go get the policeman?”
This year alone, photos and videos have been taken of several tourists being bitten and reportedly pushed to the ground by the Royal Guard’s horses.
Scheana documented her time in London shortly after returning to Los Angeles in a video she posted to her YouTube channel on July 24.
She was in the UK for what she described as a “girls’ trip”, seeing Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre in concert and performing at the Saving grace podcasting.
The Vanderpump Rules competition took place at several landmarks and popular tourist spots, including the Victoria Memorial at Buckingham Palace and Big Ben.
On her last day in London, she and her friend Jenny took a boat trip on the Thames, passing under the picturesque Tower Bridge.
Another woman was reportedly thrown onto the sidewalk by one of the Royal Guard’s horses
In one terrifying incident, a woman ignored the sign and touched the horse’s face. It then bit her arm — which was encased in a black quilted coat sleeve — and pulled her back and forth before finally letting go

The start of her trip didn’t go quite according to plan, as her friend was delayed and missed the entire first day.
So Scheana improvised by visiting a fancy cocktail bar and taking an evening stroll through the city in her gym clothes, joking that it was obvious she was a tourist.
