A man died after a tree fell on his car during Storm Eowyn in County Donegal, the police said in Ireland.
The incident happened around 5.30 am at Feddyglass in Raphoe, in the northwest of the Republic.
Police and local emergency services went on the spot after the tree fell on the car on Friday. The driver of the car died, his body is still on site.
Gardai says they collaborate with the local government and external contractors to facilitate the removal of the man's body.
The N14 road remains closed while forensic collision researchers and division scenes of crime continue their investigation on the spot.
It is because more than a million houses, farms and companies in the Republic and Northern Ireland are without electricity, while record-breaking wind speeds were raging across the island.
ESB Networks in Ireland and Nie Networks say that they expect significant further malfunctions now that Storm Eowyn will continue to affect parts of the island, with 725,000 customers being hit in the Republic and 283,000 in Northern Ireland.
The expectation is that some houses and companies will be without electricity for a week, because an unprecedented number of power failures occurs.
