Terrifying footage shows the moment a passenger plane spiraled out of control and crashed in Brazil, reportedly killing everyone on board.
The airline said there were about 62 people on board the Voepass Linhas Aéreas flight when it crashed on Friday. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said it “appeared” as if they had all died.
The local fire department confirmed that the plane crashed in the city of Vinhedo, but gave no further details. Officials in the city told the New York Times There were no survivors.

“Voepass has deployed all resources to support those involved,” the airline said in a statement. “There is still no confirmation of how the accident happened or the current situation of the people on board.”

The local fire brigade confirmed that the Voepass plane crashed in the town of Vinhedo, but did not provide further details.
The plane was en route from Cascavel to Guarulhos when it crashed.
“I want everyone to stand up so that we can hold a minute of silence, because a plane has just crashed in the city of Vinhedo, in São Paulo, with 58 passengers and 4 crew members and it seems that they have all died,” Lula said in a statement on X.
According to the Brazilian Civil Protection, the plane hit several houses in the residential area, CNN Brazil reported.
The Sao Paulo Federal Police said ABC that one resident was injured by the impact.
Hospitals in Vinhedo and Valinhos have been put on alert to receive any injured people.
According to officials, Sao Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas is returning from Vitória to keep the situation under control.

Images shared by Brazilian media showed a large room on fire and smoke coming from the fuselage of a plane.
According to the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), the plane was a 68-seat ATR-72-500 turboprop.
It is produced by the French company ATR, one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world.
The number of injured or dead has yet to be confirmed, but Brazil’s president said it appears there are no survivors.
