Madeleine McCann is considering suspicious Christian Brueckner to flee Europe and change his face in an attempt to prevent him from being recognized.

The convicted pedophile – who is currently approaching the end of his prison for raping an older woman – seems to be planning a new start in his release.

The 48-year-old will run free from the prison in September and can be allowed in the coming weeks during the release of the day.

Brueckner talked about moving to a country that has no extradition treaty with Germany or Great -Britain and Where the disappearance of Madeleine is no longer examined.

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, one of the Brueckner lawyers, Philipp Marquort, said: 'Sometimes he wants to stay here in Germany, sometimes he wants to leave Europe.

“If I were him, I would leave Europe and look for a state that does not relieve in Europe or Britain, perhaps like Suriname.”

Brueckner, who speaks English and Portuguese, as well as his native German, has also mentioned the change of the way he looks because of his concerns that he can be recognized by the public, says Mr. Marquort.

The lawyer added that if he was Brueckner, he would undergo surgery to change his face, but said that due to a lack of finance this is not an option for him and that he should settle for a 'False mustache or sunglasses or a hat' instead.

Brueckner is currently locked up in the Sehnde prison, near Hanover, where he serves seven years for raping a pensioner in Praia da Luz on the Algarve, where Madeleine disappeared in May 2007, almost four years old.

He was identified as the main suspect for Madeleine McCann 'kidnapping and murder' in June 2020.

Brueckner has denied any involvement in her disappearance, but German officials insist: “He is the man” although there have never been any charges.

He is now waiting for the green light of prison officials to let him release during release.

Mr. Marquort says that it is typical that prisoners can visit cafés and shops about eight months before the end of their punishment.

The police in three countries are looking for more concrete evidence against Brueckner, but the public prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters told Sky News earlier this month that their efforts may not bear fruit.

He said: 'There is currently no prospect of an indictment in the Maddie case.

“As the cases are now, the prison sentence of the accused will end at the beginning of September.”

Mr. Marquort welcomed the statement of the public prosecutor and told the broadcaster: 'This confirms the suspicions that we have repeatedly spoken, namely that there is no reliable evidence against our client.

'We regret that we have not yet gained access to the research files. We have not yet been able to effectively prevent the public prejudice that result from statements from the office of the public prosecutor. '

Officers of Justice are expected to submit an appeal against the judgments next month, but Mr. Marquort is convinced that it will not succeed and will not prevent his client from being released from prison.

He says that Brueckner will receive a dismissal fair of approximately 2,000 euros funded by the government in his release to help him adapt to the outside.
