Redmi A3x could launch soon; design and key features leaked

Now, a report claims that the Redmi A3x will be launching soon. The report has also leaked details about the smartphone, including its design, key specifications and features. It is said to be an upgraded version of the Redmi A3 that was launched in India in February.

The global and Indian variants of the rumored Redmi A3x will respectively carry model numbers 24048RN6CG and 24048RN6CI, according to a report by Passionategeekz. According to the report, the handset would be unveiled “soon”. It also included leaked promotional materials for the alleged Redmi A3x that hint at key features and design details.

The Redmi A3x is expected to feature a 6.71-inch 90Hz LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, as per the report. It will be powered by a Unisoc T603 chipset, paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It will reportedly offer 64GB and 128GB of inbuilt storage options. The handset will reportedly come with Android 14-based UI out of the box.

For optics, the report claims that the Redmi A3x will likely feature an 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear alongside a 0.08-megapixel ‘decorative’ sensor. The front-facing camera on the handset should include a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. For security, the phone could feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with an AI Face Unlock feature.

The Redmi A3x is said to feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. The leaked promo images seen in the report suggest that the phone will come in two color options — Green and Gray. The design seems to be similar to that of the Redmi A3.

Notably, the Redmi A3 was launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 7,299 for the 3GB + 64GB variant, while the 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB variants are priced at Rs. 8,299 and Rs. 9,299 respectively. It comes in Midnight Black, Lake Blue, and Olive Green color options.
