‘If they have bedding I’ll run,’ fans rave about Primark’s iconic ’90s swag
THE 90’s are currently making a huge comeback.
From fashion to beauty, it’s all about the decade that saw the arrival of Steps, Beanie Babies and matte eyeshadow.
And now nostalgic homewear from the 90s is back in full force.
Every girl born before the 2000s had something from Bang on the Door in her bedroom.
And the brand’s most iconic design was Groovy Chick.
From duvet covers to pencil cases: 40 years ago it was a must-have for girls.
Now, Primark has unveiled its latest tote bag – adorned with the must-have Groovy Chick design. And it’s a steal at just £4.
Employees at the Perth branch demonstrate it online.
And ’90s fans are loving it, with nearly 5,000 people liking a post on social media, many demanding more Groovy Chick merchandise be sold.
One of them said, “If they get the bedding, I’ll run.”
Another commented: “If you ever see this in Primark tell me. I love groovy chicks.”
One fan joked: “They’re going to take the entire Argos catalogue page we circled, girls get ready.”
And another one already has plans to buy them up.
She said, “Spectacular! Give me 14 right away.”
It’s not the only ’90s swag Primark is currently selling.
The store also sells a line of Rugrats sleepwear.
The Nickelodeon cartoon series was a huge hit when it first appeared on television 40 years ago.
Now Tommy Pickle and his little friends can be seen in an adorable range on the high street.
As she showed off the pyjamas and socks, a staff member at the East Kilbride store said: “90s kids, are you ready for a trip down memory lane?”
