‘Devilish’ people say man begs people to buy ex’s wedding dress

A MAN sparked outrage after making a brutal post on Facebook Marketplace in which he begged strangers to buy his ex-fiancee’s wedding dress.

The scorned man offered the dress for only £5 and gave a bitter description.

In the caption he cruelly described the dress as ‘size fat’.

And the insults didn’t stop there, as in the description he described his former lover’s dress as “chavvy” and fit for “a slut”.

The Facebook page states: “Wedding dress – suitable for a fuller lady, quite grumpy in style, so suitable for a cheap sloppy dress.

“I was lucky, so it’s brand new, but that’s less true than the intended wearer’s vagina, which is already quite worn out.”

The man then said that he would not be sending the dress and that he could only pick it up.

The man concluded his venomous tirade by saying he thought the dress was a size 12, but added that his ex had a “tendency to lie,” so it could also have been a size 14 or 16.

The aggressive post reached X, where it was viewed more than 1.2 million times in less than 24 hours.

Social media users shared their thoughts en masse, but many were unimpressed with the man’s choice of words.

An X user said, “This says more about him than her.”

Another said: “I think it’s a beautiful dress. She’s probably the lucky one who got out of the relationship.”

A third said: “No, but she looked beautiful.

“I’m glad she didn’t marry him.”

A fourth added: ““Big fat is absolutely devilish.”

How to choose the perfect wedding dress?

Wedding season is in full swing, but when it comes to picking out the perfect dress, most brides-to-be are probably clueless.

Josie Griffiths, deputy editor of Fabulous Digital and bride-to-be, is getting married in August 2024 and has shared her top tips…

  1. Give yourself time – unless you are a sample size, dresses can take months to arrive. Don’t stress yourself out by looking too late, in my opinion, dress shopping should be second on your list, right after you find a venue.
  2. Visit multiple stores. You are not supposed to buy anything on your first visit.
  3. But not too many – just like an asshole who can’t stop swiping on Tinder, too much choice won’t help you find The One.
  4. Bring people with you – women who are honest but also give you credit, unlike the mean family members in Say Yes To The Dress, and ideally people from different parts of your life who don’t automatically say the same thing. I went shopping with my mother and two best friends, who didn’t know each other and had different styles.
  5. Think again – I went back to the store before I made my final decision on the dress I chose and tried it on again with my second favorite just to make sure I was sure. It’s an expensive purchase and you can’t return it like you can with your next Asos order, so take some time to think about it.

Others, however, seemed to see the humor in the message.

Someone said, “That’s really awesome.”

A second person said, “That might be the best thing I’ve ever seen on Facebook Marketplace!”
