Bobbi Brown knockoff that’s £79 cheaper and ‘better than the real thing’ returns to Aldi

The Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer is an imitation of Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched Face Base.

A jar of this expensive face cream can cost up to £84.

Aldi’s version costs £4.99 each.

The budget supermarket has also launched the £4.99 Lacura Vitabase Eye Primer, a second dupe for the £41 Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base.

“Make your skin look perfect with this Lacura Vitabase Primer,” say Aldi bosses.

“Whether you use this alone or under makeup, your selfies will never be the same.

“Contains vitamins C and E, shea butter, geranium and grapefruit extract for a nourishing and delicate foundation treatment.”

These are the same ingredients found in Bobbi Brown’s luxurious face cream.

Aldi’s social media team took to Instagram to promote the return of the sold-out knock-offs, which had already been lining the centre aisle.

“Perfect your base makeup with our Vitamin Face & Eye Primers,” they wrote.

People are only just starting to realise why Aldi has so many 99p prices, and it’s nothing to do with beating competitors

“Will you add them to your routine for a long-lasting, radiant look?”

Buyers were quick to respond to the fantastic return.

“I love it, I stock up on it every time,” says beauty fanatic Jen Roberts.

“I tried this and had to go back for it again,” added Suzanne Wright.

A blurb reads: “Our best-selling, multivitamin-enriched, hydrating facial primer nourishes, plumps and preps skin with healthy hydration to enhance the look of foundation.

“It is a complete make-up preparation in one step, combining the action of a primer with the texture of a face cream.
