A Missouri man on the FBI's most wanted list has finally been arrested after two years on the run.

Donald Eugene Fields II, 60, was picked up during a routine traffic stop around 9:15 a.m. Saturday on US Highway 27/441 at Rolling Acres Road in Lady Lake, Florida — about an hour outside Orlando, according to the FBI St. Louis office, according to the FBI St. Louis office.

The Lady Lake Police Department spotted the vehicle he was driving and quickly realized the license plate was not registered, prompting officers to pull him over.

He was federally charged in St. Louis in 2023 after the Easter District of Missouri issued a federal arrest warrant for the former fugitive. Fields was added to the FBI's Most Wanted Fugitives list in May 2023.

He faces one count of child trafficking, but court records say he fled his home and failed to show up for court before a warrant was issued for his arrest.

The indictment accused Fields of knowingly attempting to solicit, provide, patronize, patronize and solicit a minor to engage in a commercial sex act from approximately January 2013 through June 2017,” the agency said.

He also faces charges including statutory sodomy, statutory rape, child molestation and witness tampering in Franklin County Circuit Court in Missouri.

It is unclear where exactly he hid all those years. DailyMail.com contacted the FBI for comment.

The agency praised local police for their help in locating fields.

“Thanks to proactive police work by the Lady Lake Police Department, one of the FBI's ten most wanted fugitives has been captured,” said Special Agent in Charge.

The agency also noted that Lady Lake Police Chief Steven W. Hunt is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

A November 2024 press release named Fields as a co-defendant of Theodore “Ted” John Satori Sr., 64, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for exchanging cash and other miscellaneous items for sex with a 14-year-old girl with a 14- birthday girl .

Satori “gave cash, a car, a motorcycle, Christmas presents and vacations to a friend from 2013-2016 in exchange for access to the victim,” the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Missouri, said.

He pleaded guilty in August to a misdemeanor charge of traveling with the intent to engage in illegal sexual conduct, and as part of his plea, he agreed to pay more than $25,000 in restitution to the unnamed victim.

During his trial, the victim said she has suffered “lifelong trauma, hopeless relationships, PTSD and low self-esteem” because of Satori, according to the release.

While announcing Satori's sentencing, the department also asked for help finding fields.

They offered a $25,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest.

A wanted poster with multiple mugshots of fields said he would often “visit casinos and has traveled to Florida in the past.”

The FBI also noted unique features including a “tribal print tattoo on his right shoulder,” a scar on his groin, left calf, both knees, both legs and chest.

He is expected to be scheduled for his first appearance in federal court in Florida, although the exact date has not yet been announced.
