The baby’s restaurant-inspired name has critics joking that his sister is named Ruby Tuesdeigh
A baby boy is the subject of online jokes over his name, inspired by a popular food chain.
Critics were stunned and couldn’t help but joke that the baby had a sister named “Ruby Tuesdeigh.”
Reddit user Wide-Suggestion6524 shared a food-based name for a baby on the platform.
In the aftershe shared a photo of the baby lying on a blanket with his name written on a sign by his head.
FOOD FUNNY
It was decorated in a style that resembled the logo of a Italian-American restaurant chain.
The child’s name on the sign was Oliver Gardin, which was a clear variation on the name of the restaurant, Olive Garden.
“If you know exactly where the child was conceived,” another Redditor noted in the comments.
The last name was crossed out, leading some Redditors to assume those were his first and middle names.
“In this case it appears that Gardin is the middle name,” one person wrote.
She shared it in the Reddit group called Tragedywhich is a “first name that has been deliberately misspelled or completely made up to appear more unique than it actually is.”
She asked in the caption, “Is this a tragedy or just tragic?”
“At least they spelled Oliver right,” someone noted.
Opinions in the comments section were divided.
“It’s not a tragedy, just a tragedy to combine those names and then go through with the font and logo again,” wrote one Redditor.
Another said it was “one of those ‘great names for a pet, but tragic for a human’ type names.”
People wondered if he was named after his mother’s wish to have a baby.
“I’m actually okay with this. Long live business, lol,” someone else admitted.
HAPPY GRAVES
Other Redditors couldn’t resist making jokes about restaurants and ridiculing the situation.
“And his sister, Ruby Tuesdeigh,” someone chimed in.
“His sister Wafl Haus,” added another.
“Did he also get a portion of baguette?” asked one reader.
One Redditor user even commented on Olive Garden’s slogan by saying, “If he’s here, he’s family.”
