Seven members of a child abuse ring that occurred as 'witches and wizards' to hunt children on children, as young as 13 in a Glasgow -Medicijn den with the nickname 'Bestie House', today were sentenced to eight to 20 years old.
Three children were abused by two women and five men in crimes described by a judge as 'the depths of human corruption' between 2012 and 2019.
Iain Owens, 46; Elaine Lannery, 40; Lesley Williams, 43; Paul Brannan, 42; Scott Forbes, 51; Barry Watson, 48; And John Clark, 48, were convicted in November 2023 after a process at the High Court in Glasgow.
Four of the group: Owens, Lannery, Brannan and Williams were found guilty of trying to kill a child by pushing her into a microwave and catching her in other places.
The conviction was postponed until December while the risk assessments were carried out that judge Lord Beckett had ordered because of the seriousness of the crimes.
The process, which lasted about eight weeks, heard proof of systematic sexual abuse of children, described as 'moving' by Lord Beckett, who said that it will be 'depositing the depths of human corruption'.
He said earlier that he is considering imposing orders for lifelong disability, who guard risky perpetrators for the rest of their lives if they are considered suitable for release from prison after a minimum criminal period.
The violations, involving three children, took place between 2012 and 2019.
