Kamala Harris turns 60 in two months.
But to many Americans, the vice president seems much younger, and many are shocked to learn that she is the same age as her grizzled running mate, Governor Tim Walz.
Plastic surgery rumors are swirling on Capitol Hill, from Joe Biden to Donald Trump, Nancy Pelosi to lower-ranking members of Congress like Matt Gaetz.
After reviewing dozens of photos of Kamala from her two-decade career, top plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Linkov gave his verdict on the cosmetic enhancements he says she’s undergone.

Dr Linkov, who runs City Facial Plastics in New York, told DailyMail.com: ‘She looks so youthful for her age, and it doesn’t look like much has been done.
‘It seems like she’s still herself, and that’s great.
“I’m in favor of doing what people want, and if that’s very little, that’s fine.”
He added: ‘To maintain good skin, it is important to protect yourself from the sun, so use sunscreen and make sure you are hydrated, for example with a cleanser or moisturiser.
“It may seem like she did this, but the truth is, you really don’t need a 15-step skin care routine to make your skin look more youthful.”
Harris previously revealed her minimalist skincare routine in a candid moment during the 2019 presidential campaign, when she was President Joe Biden’s running mate.
In the interview, she said she uses a moisturizer and skin cleanser from Cetaphil, a line of skin care products from the Swiss company Galderma.
Harris said: ‘Since I started campaigning, I use the wipes to clean, but otherwise I use the skin cleanser.
“I just use a regular moisturizer and that’s it.”
Cetaphil’s hydrating cream costs just $16 a bottle and is available at many retailers, including Target, CVS, and Amazon.
The mild skin cleanser costs around $12 per bottle, while the cleansing wipes cost $8 for a pack of 25.
According to Dr. Linkov, her youthful appearance was also likely aided by the strong facial structure, which can hold skin in place and reduce sagging, a common occurrence as we age and one that many women face by having fillers placed to make their faces look fuller and fuller.
Dr. Linkov also indicated that microneedling had likely been performed around her eyebrows, which he said appeared thicker than in previous photos.
Microneedling costs around $100 per session and involves using needles to create microscopic holes in the skin to stimulate the body’s natural healing process.
To see results, experts recommend three to four microneedling sessions spaced about a month apart. The total cost is up to $400.
He denied online rumors that she had had lip fillers, saying her thicker upper lip appeared to be the result of using makeup.
He found no evidence of a facelift, nose job, brow lift or filler use on the Democratic candidate. He also dismissed suggestions that she used Botox. He said the fine lines in her forehead appear to have deepened over time.
However, he did suggest that she get veneers, which are small white shells placed in front of teeth to improve their appearance. They cost $50,000.

But Dr. Sharon Huang, a cosmetic dentist at Les Belles NYC who has placed thousands of veneers in her career, disagreed and believes she only had her teeth whitened.
‘Normally when we put veneers in, we also make the teeth look much more symmetrical,’ she told DailyMail.com. ‘With Kamala, you don’t see that.’
‘But she’s definitely had her teeth whitened, her teeth are definitely whiter – they used to be a lot duller.
‘The cost of this can range from seven to nine thousand dollars, in New York it is even $1,900.’
Harris’ lack of cosmetic enhancements stands in stark contrast to Biden, who surgeons suspect has undergone everything from a facelift to a brow lift, fillers and a hair transplant.
The president has never commented on these speculations.
And while Dr. Linkov said Trump also looked young for his age, this could be due to the cosmetic procedures he has reportedly undergone — though he denies ever having any procedures.
He said, ‘Trump has obviously had some work done on his hair, but not the rest of his face, he hasn’t had a facelift.
“He’s old now, but he certainly looks youthful for his age.”
