A woman has been hospitalised after falling from a balcony following an alleged assault in Sydney.
Emergency services were called to an apartment complex on John Street in Waterloo at around 6pm on Sunday following reports of an attack.
According to police, a 31-year-old woman fell from an upper floor into the courtyard of a ground-floor apartment, but managed to escape.
About an hour later, she was found with head injuries in nearby George Street by a member of the public who alerted emergency services.
The woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Shortly afterwards, a 35-year-old woman arrived at the same hospital, claiming she had fallen from a balcony in Waterloo.
Police are investigating whether the incidents are related.
