Tucker Carlson's son Buckley is set for a controversial role in the Trump government, who works as a deputy press secretary of JD Vance.
Buckley, the oldest of the four children of Carlson and wife Susan, has been a fixture on Capitol Hill since 2019.
He recently served as the deputy Staff Chef of the Republican Congressman Jim Banks.
In 2019, Carlson rose from a staff -assistant to Communications Director in 2021 prior to his deputy head of the staff role.
The role of the younger Carlson as a media contact person for the Trump government may not be surprising, because his father remains one of the most influential people in conservative media, while Tucker has long been an ally of the president.
Carlson, 28, is now taking his car to Vance, who see many as a potential successor to Trump and a favorite to become president as the Gop-nominee with Trump term in 2028.
Vance has largely remained with many well -known quantities, hiring people who worked for him in the Senate or on his campaigns to fill in the staff.
Carlson is likely to work among communication director Will Martin – who played in the same role for Vance in the Senate – and press secretary Taylor van Kirk, who has been working for VANCE for some time.

According to the Daily Beast, Carlson registered as Democrat in 2015, but worked exclusively in conservative politics.
Buckley studied government and political sciences at the University of Virginia and graduated in 2019.
Carlson revealed that his son worked in the Capitol during the riot of January 6.
He responded to criticism that his controversial series Patriot Purge was a whitewash or 'revisionist history' when he made the revelation on the Fourth Watch Podcast organized by Steve Krakauer.
“I hated what happened on January 6,” said Carlson. He then added that 'one of my children was actually in the building when it happened. I was on the phone in real time. '
Carlson's Patriot Purge series attracted strong criticism, including some within FOX News, for the display of attacks as a peaceful protest and the reaction as an exaggerated and politically motivated action.
But in his comments about the podcast that was published on Thursday, Carlson said that he did not approve the 'disorder' and 'litter' by the riot, but felt that the damage was exaggerated.
'I just don't like it when people break windows or waste. I am about order and my house is clean, I really believe in that, “he said.

“So if people who cover January 6 would have been willing to tell the truth roughly … but it would not use a partisan instrument to suspend civil liberties, I would just let it lie,” he went on .
“So they lie about what actually happened, they repeat the lie with maximum aggression, and over time that lies in the common understanding of what happened.”
Buckley was probably named after Tucker's younger brother, whom he almost grew up.
After leaving Fox News in 2023, Tucker brought his show to X and go directly to social media.
He still regularly attracts the best profitable conservative thinkers and even liberals such as mayor of New York City, Eric Adams.
