Trump’s incredible takedown of reporter who tried to grill him about white supremacy

Donald Trump was asked to comment after the Kamala Harris campaign attacked him for going to a town it called the ‘KKK capital of Michigan.’

Trump responded by asking a reporter which rival politician had been there in 2021 – it was Joe Biden.

He made the comments as the second night of the Democratic National Convention got underway with a surprise performance from Lil Jon before the headline speech from former President Barack Obama.

After delivering a speech in Howell, Michigan, Donald Trump was asked to respond to an attack by Kamala Harris’ campaign about white supremacy.

The Harris campaign had blasted Trump for going to the city where there was a demonstration by white supremacists last month.

Harris’ Michigan communications director had accused the former president of ‘choosing to rally in a town that was historically known as ‘the KKK capital of Michigan.”

Fox News correspondent Aishah Hasnie asked Trump for his comment on the attack by Harris’s campaign.

Kamala’s campaign attacked you for being in this town because it’s associated with white supremacy.

The crowd also laughed, booed and called Hasnie a ‘Democrat,’ for the question at the event focused on crime.

With cops standing behind him, Trump said: ‘When I return to the White House, we will stop the plunder, rape, slaughter, and destruction of our American Suburbs, Cities, and Towns.”

‘We will shut down deadly Sanctuary Cities.’

‘I will shift massive portions of federal law enforcement to immigration enforcement. On Day One, we will begin the largest domestic deportation operation in the history of our country.’

He also said Chicago was a ‘warzone’ and compared it to Afghanistan while thousands gathered for the party’s Democratic National Convention.

The narrative that Howell has links to white supremacists was fueled by a dozen white men walking through the streets wearing black and holding signs saying ‘White Lives Matter’ and shouting: ‘We love Hitler, we love Trump’.

The Harris campaign suggested Trump’s visit to the city of 10,000 people proves he stands with this small group of men.

‘The racists and white supremacists who marched in Trump’s name last month in Howell have all watched him praise Hitler, defend neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, and tell far-right extremists to ‘stand back and stand by,’ said Kamala Harris’ Michigan spokeswoman Alyssa Bradley.

‘Trump’s actions have encouraged them, and Michiganders can expect more of the same when he comes to town.’

The Democrats pulled off a bit of TV magic Tuesday – concluding their roll call vote at the Chicago convention and then beaming in nominee Kamala Harris’ arrival at her Milwaukee arrival.

She and VP nominee Tim Walz arrived onstage at the Fiserv Forum – the same place where former President Donald Trump held the Republican National Convention last month.

‘We are so honored to be your nominees,’ she said. ‘This is a people powered campaign and together we will turn a new way forward.’

Chicago protest outside of Israeli consulate turns violent as tensions escalate

Chicago police and demonstrators have gotten into violent altercations outside of the Israeli consulate.

The protest at the consulate was announced via a flyer at Monday’s ‘March on the DNC.’

‘Shut down the DNC for Gaza,’ the paper read.

Videos from the event Tuesday evening show protestors clad in pro-Palestinian garb getting into aggressive altercations with police.

The Chicago police chief has said that all forces have been activated for the DNC and the department efficiently de-escalated lingering protests after Monday’s event.

Tim Walz says Trump will be ‘so sad’ Democrats filled RNC site

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz said former President Donald Trump is going to be ‘so sad’ that Democrats filled the stadium where the Republican National Convention was held last month.

‘Not only do we have massive energy at our convention, we have a hell of a lot more energy where they held their convention,’ Walz said Tuesday night at the Fiserv Forum.

Walz recalled that just weeks ago, Trump ‘subjected us to 92 minutes of ranting and raving insanity’ on the RNC convention stage.

The Harris-Walz campaign said more than 15,000 people were on hand to hear Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris speak.

It’s unusual for a party’s nominee to campaign outside their own convention, but Wisconsin is a vital swing state and only a short flight from Chicago.

Harris’ Milwaukee speech will be beamed into the United Center, where the DNC is taking place.

The roll call vote played at the Fiserv Forum and supporters can stick around for an after-party to watch former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama speak.

Scenes from the roll call during the DNC as states cast their votes for Kamala Harris

DNC conducts for-show roll call ceremoniously naming Kamala Harris their presidential nominee

Democratic delegates from ech state and territory participated in the ceremonial roll call voting Kamala Harris as their presidential nominee on the second night of the Convention.

But Vice President Harris already was formally nomated as the Democratic candidate for 2024, so the roll call was all for show.

Each delegation received a different song mixed by the night’s DJ and one or two speakers for the states and territories would publicly pledge their votes to Harris.

Some states had surprises – like Lil Jon coming out for a short performance on the floor of the United Center for Georgia’s turn at the mic.

Rapper Lil Jon made a surprise visit to the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday.

During Georgia’s turn at the roll call on night two in Chicago, Illinois, Lil Jon came out to his party song Turn Down For What and ask the delegates: ‘DNC, turn down for what?’

He also performed part of his song Get Low.

After Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was selected as Harris’ running mate, supporters online changed the lyrics to the rapper’s song Get Low from ‘to the window to the wall’ to instead say ‘to the window, to the Walz.’

Matt Gaetz survives primary challenge

Matt Gaetz brushed by a primary challenger backed by former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday.

Gaetz, R-Fla., who led the successful ouster of McCarthy, emerged victorious over his sole opponent Aaron Dimmock, a retired Navy officer who Gaetz attacked as not living in the Florida district.

‘I live in Pensacola,’ Dimmock said with a laugh when asked about it by a local news network.

‘Aaron Dimmock was advertising on his own Linkedin that he lived in Jefferson City, Missouri, the day he qualified against me for Congress,’ Gaetz said.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ attempt to troll former President Donald Trump by holding a rally at the Republican National Convention site appears to have paid off.

Supporters of the Democratic nominee filled most of the seats at the Fiserv Forum – except for a section of seats that were collapsed behind the press.

The seating format of the two events differed – with more attendees packing the floor at last month’s RNC, while the Democrats made use of the stadium seating.

The Harris-Walz campaign said more than 15,000 people attended the Tuesday night rally.

Trump has always touted his ‘yuge’ crowds – and used rally attendance to plant the seeds of the 2020 so-called ‘big lie,’ his false claim that the election was stolen from him.

Since Harris replaced President Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee, Trump has pushed that she isn’t really attracting large crowds.

The Democratic National Convention holds its celebratory roll call

Democrats are holding their celebratory roll call on night two the convention in Chicago.

Alabama is throwing to Delaware to begin the roll call as a nod to the home state of President Biden and his legacy.  Their roll call features Senator Chris Coons and Congresswoman Lisa Bunt Rochester.

North Carolina’s roll call is led by state party Chair Anderson Clayton who is the youngest state party chair in the country.

Kate Cox, who shared her personal story about abortion, is featured in the Texas roll call.

Pennsylvania’s roll call will feature the yellow Terrible Towels, which are prominently used at Steelers games.

Nevada’s roll call features a speaker who is a state representative and the survivor of the Las Vegas October 1 shooting.

Actors Wendell Pierce is appearing in Louisiana’s roll call while Sean Astin is part of Indiana’s.

Democratic governors appearing in the roll call include Governors Andy Beshear, Josh Shapiro, Wes Moore, Gavin Newsom, Janet Mills, Josh Green and Gretchen Whitmer.

The roll call wraps with California – Vice President Kamala Harris’ home state.

Ex-Melania Trump aide spills on her last convo with the former First Lady

Stephanie Grisham told DNC attendees that Melania said ‘no’ she couldn’t tweet on January 6 that ‘while peaceful protests is the right of every American, there’s no place for lawlessness or violence.’

That’s what prompted her to resign immediately from the White House, despite feeling like the Trump family was her family, she explained.

She said she will be voting for Kamala Harris in November.

Jimmy Carter’s grandson says the ex-president, nearly 100, can’t wait to vote for Kamala Harris

From Kelly Laco, executive editor of politics at the DNC in Chicago:

Former President Jimmy Carter’s grandson Jason Carter revealed that his ‘Pop Pop’ is thrilled about voting for Kamala Harris in November.

That would mean Carter, now 99, would live to be 100 years old. His birthday is in October, the month before the election.

Pop Pop is holding on, he is hopeful and though his body may be weak tonight, his spirit may be as strong as ever.

My grandfather can’t wait to vote for Kamala Harris, he said to cheers on the DNC floor.

Trump: Kamala is a ‘Marxist’ and communist’

At a campaign stop in Michigan, Donald Trump said of his opponent Kamala Harris:

She’s a Marxist communist persn and we’re not ready for a communist president,

About 100 people including uniformed and non-uniformed officers gathered inside an equipment hanger at the sheriff’s office, according to his campaign.

Trump spoke against a backdrop of sheriff’s vehicles, police shields, red and blue lights, and signs that read ‘Michigan is Trump Country’.

He accused Harris of supporting the defunding of the police. Turning to the men gathered behind him in uniform, he asked:

Do you want to be defunded?

Trump links Mexico car plants to ‘why I get shot at’

Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday that he was ‘shot at’ because he dares to speak about more car manufacturing plants being built in Mexico.

The former president was focusing on crime during a campaign event in Howell, Michigan.

He then said it was ‘dangerous’ to discuss the car trade being taken away from the U.S. and moved south of the border.

Some of the biggest plants in the world are being built in Mexico. And they are going to sell cars in this country with no tax? Not gonna happen… Always dangerous to say these things. Maybe that’s why I get shot at and other people don’t.

Ex-GOP Rep tears into Republican Adam Kinzinger for speaking at DNC

A former House Republican tore into ex-GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger for speaking at the DNC on Tuesday night.

‘I served with Adam Kinzinger in Congress when we voted for the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act requiring medical care for babies surviving abortions. How sad to now see Adam speaking at the DNC where abortions are available on the street in the back of a truck,’ ex-Rep. Mark Walker, R-N.C., wrote on X.

The DNC’s theme for Night Two is ex-Republicans who support the Democratic ticket. The convention will also hear from former Trump press secretary Stephanie Grisham, former Pence national security advisor Olivia Troye, John Giles, the mayor of Mesa, Arizona and former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan.

Trump says Kamala was probably ‘laughing inside’ at the way Biden ‘left’

Donald Trump suggested Kamala Harris was ‘laughing inside’ at the way Joe Biden made his swansong speech at the Democratic National Convention.

The 81-year-old’s farewell remarks were pushed to primetime into the dead of night after chaos and a string of delays in Chicago.

Trump said Harris has ‘gotten rid’ of the laugh he has frequently mocked, but suggested the VP would have been reveling

You see her now with a smile and she’s gotten rid of the laugh over the last couple of days.. haven’t seen her laugh. But I’ll bet inside she was laughing last night when she saw the way Joe Biden left

The invite-only fete will support Party at the Polls, a non-partisan non-profit that encourages ‘parties’ to be held near early voting locations.

Beshear claps back at Vance calling his abortion comments ‘disgusting’

By Morgan Phillips, Congress Reporter at the DNC in Chicago

Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear accused Donald Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance of ‘making himself the victim’ in comments to DailyMail.com.

Beshear had first started the tiff by calling to mind comments Vance made in 2021 about abortion.

‘JD Vance calls pregnancy resulting from rape ‘inconvenient.’ Inconvenience is traffic. I mean, it is, make him go through this,’ Beshear said Tuesday.

‘What the hell is this? Why is @AndyBeshearKY wishing that a member of my family would get raped?!? What a disgusting person,’ Vance wrote on X.

‘It’s not whether a woman should be forced to bring a child to term,’ Vance said at the time, but “whether a child should be allowed to live even though the circumstances of that child’s birth are somehow inconvenient.’

Beshear then was forced to walk back his comments Tuesday, telling DailyMail.com he didn’t mean any harm.

It’s ridiculous. And more than that, it’s an attempt to deflect. Obviously, I don’t wish anybody harm, nor would I ever but what this is about is J.D. Vance trying to make himself the victim.

J.D. Vance, like like myself, is a man who will never have to go through the things that we are talking about. All I wish is that he have enough empathy to put himself in somebody else’s position. But no, this is an attempt to create controversy. It’s ridiculous. Nobody means anybody any harm.

J.D. Vance says DNC is in Chicago so Gov. Tim Walz can say he ‘visited a combat zone’

By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter in Chicago, Illinois

Sen. J.D. Vance continues to take hits at Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s military record after Republicans jumped on attack lines accusing him of lying about his time in service.

Vance sarcastically theorized that Democrats chose Chicago for the Convention this year so Walz could say he has visited a war zone.

Speaking in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Tuesday, the Ohio Senator and running mate of Donald Trump said:

My little theory about why they decided to have the convention in Chicago: Tim Walz has been going around saying that he served in war and maybe they did it in Chicago so he could accurately say he visited a combat zone.

Vance and others accuse Walz of stretching the truth about being deployed to an active war zone when he was in the Army National Guard.

The site of the Democratic Convention is in Chicago, which is considered one of the crime capital cities of the U.S. and has seen a massive spike in murders in recent years.

RFK Jr.’s running mate floats they could drop out and endorse Trump

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate, Bay Area lawyer Nicole Shanahan, admitted on a podcast released Tuesday that they’re thinking about dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing former President Donald Trump.

Shanahan appeared on an episode of Tom Bilyeu’s Impact Theory and said she and RFK Jr. have two options – they could stay in the race and hope to get 5 percent of the vote to officially start a new political party.

‘But we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and Walz presidency,’ the former Democrat said. ‘Because we draw votes from Trump or we draw somehow more votes from Trump.’

‘Or we walk away right now and join forces with, with Donald Trump and and, you know, we walk away from that and we explain to our base why we’re making this decision,’ she added.

The Washington Post reported last week that Kennedy had tried to get in touch with Harris to see if she’d be interested in giving him a Cabinet gig in exchange for an endorsement.

The Democrats said publicly they have no interest in bartering with Kennedy, whose famous family members endorsed President Joe Biden and now Harris.

Trump, on the other hand, was heard on the phone last month suggesting he could throw RFK Jr. a bone.

Shanahan said on Impact Theory that the ex-president ‘has taken genuine, sincere interest in our policies around chronic disease.’

‘He takes it seriously. For that reason, I think it behooves us to sit and see if we can actually make some change,’ the vice presidential candidate added.

Rep. James C. Clyburn describes moment Biden read him his withdrawal letter – and the key element it was lacking

President Joe Biden’s historic letter announcing he was ending his campaign left out a crucial element – an endorsement – longtime Rep. James C. Clyburn told him.

Clyburn is a loyalist who helped deliver South Carolina to Biden in 2020 to vault him to the White House. This summer, when the president was under fire after his debate disaster, ‘We stuck with Joe Biden,’ Clyburn said in an Axios event outside the Democratic convention.

‘When Joe Biden decided to leave the stage, he called me – read me his statement right around one o’clock. I will never forget it because it was my 45th anniversary of my 39th birthday,’ he quipped.

‘I got that call, he read me his statement. I told him there’s a little thing missing … I said you can’t leave the stage not endorsing. He said I will put out a second statement within the hour. And that second statement came out at 1:46. At 1:47 I was on the phone. And I roped in my little kitchen cabinet. I said we are all in for Kamala,’ Clyburn said.

Clyburn, 84, is an influential member of the Congressional Black Caucus who has been tirelessly in Biden’s corner, even after realizing last year that Harris had ‘arrived.’ But his July 3 statement about a ‘mini primary’ should Biden drop out helped fuel conversations among Democrats about going forward after a withdrawal.

Tim Walz’s wife Gwen makes stunning admission about how she conceived their children

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has been opening discussing him and his wife’s struggle with infertility on the campaign trail as a part of his stump speech before going after Republicans for some efforts to block IVF, but it turns out his family’s personal story about infertility struggles is not about IVF but another treatment.

Walz’s recent remarks have led some to assume he and wife Gwen conceived their two children through IVF, but the campaign recently clarified that they actually used another common fertility procedure called intrauterine insemination or I.U.I.

In a statement to the New York Times, Gwen Walz addressed how a neighbor knew what they were going through at the time stating ‘she was a nurse and helped me with the shots I needed as part of the I.U.I. process.’

I.U.I. does not involve creating or discarding embryos the way IVF does, so it has not been a target of anti-abortion advocates like IVF has been.

A spokesperson told the Times when sharing his story, Walz often talks about his family undergoing ‘treatments like’ and said he was ‘using commonly understood shorthand for fertility treatments.’

After the Alabama Supreme Court ruled frozen embryos should be treated like children earlier this year sending the industry into chaos, Walz wrote on Facebook ‘Gwen and I have two beautiful children because of reproductive health care like IVF. This issue is deeply personal to our family and so many others.’

Donald Trump: Biden’s ‘angry and ranting’ speech was ‘full of LIES’

Donald Trump says Joe Biden’s ‘angry and ranting’ Democratic National Convention speech was ‘full of lies’.

The former president took to Truth Social on Tuesday to claim jobs created under the 81-year-old president were ‘almost 100 per cent illegal aliens pouring into our country’.

The Republican nominee also slammed Trump for failing to mention Afghanistan and said ‘far more people died from COVID during the Biden years than the Trump years’.

An angry and ranting Speech full of LIES, Biden took credit for everything done during the Trump Administration, even continuing to say that he was better on Inflation and Jobs. He never mentioned the Afghanistan Disaster and all the Wars he got us into, or the fact that far more people died from COVID during the Biden years than the Trump years. The Jobs Biden/Harris “created” were almost 100% from Illegal Aliens pouring into our Country, which are destroying the lives of our Black and Hispanic population!

Campaign guru David Plouffe says ‘lazy’ Trump is the biggest liability to his run

By Geoff Earle, Deputy U.S. Political Editor for DailyMail.com in Chicago

Election guru David Plouffe said outside the Democratic convention that Donald Trump isn’t showing the fire of his 2016 and 2020 efforts – and that the candidate himself keeps throwing his own campaign off track.

Plouffe said at an Axios event near the Democratic convention that Trump worked hard campaigning in 2016 and again in 2020 while being ‘irresponsible’ about COVID risks. This time, ‘He’s got a really lazy schedule,’ said Plouffe.

With field organizing, messaging, and volunteers all influencing elections, the candidate matters more in presidential races than in any other contest, said Plouffe, who helped steer Barack Obama’s historic wins.

‘He’s a 78-year-old former president. We talk about him like a child, okay? If he can’t execute basics and talk about what he wants to do, we really want this guy with the nuclear codes?’ said Plouffe, who threw himself into the Harris campaign after President Biden ended his run. ‘He’s going to get 46 to 48 percent of the vote. That’s just the fact. Our goal and necessity is to get a little more than that.’

He identified the seven most prominent battleground states, plus a single Congressional District in Nebraska. And he mocked Trump’s brain trust for earlier claims they could play in Minnesota and other states he called out of reach. ‘It’ll come down to a vote or two for precinct’ in the battlegrounds, he predicted.

The Obamas, Doug Emhoff to give speeches on Day 2 of the Democratic National Convention

Sarah Ewall-Wice, Senior U.S. Political Reporter in Chicago:

Former President Obama and former First Lady Michelle are giving much anticipated speeches tonight on Day 2 of the Democratic National Convention.

Also speaking this evening is Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. Organizers say he will ‘speak to the strength and leadership that she will bring to her presidency.’

Other speakers this evening include Senators Chuck Schumer, Tammy Duckworth, and Bernie Sanders as welll as Governors JB Pritzker and Michelle Lujan Grisham.

Democrats also announced they are reaching across the aisle this evening with remarks from Republican Mayor John Giles of Mesa, Arizona. Former Trump aide Stephanie Grisham also confirmed she will be speaking.

The thousands of delegates in attendance will also get to participate in ‘celebratory’ roll call as the delegates announce their support for the Harris-Walz ticket by state even though there was already a virtual roll call to make the ticket official ahead of the convention.

Stephanie Grisham – a top aide to former first lady Melania Trump who had a stint as White House press secretary – will speak Tuesday at the Democratic National Convention.

Grisham was among the flood of White House officials to quit over the Capitol assault on January 6.

Since then she’s become a prominent Trump critic.

‘I never thought I’d be speaking at a Democratic convention. But, after seeing firsthand who Donald Trump really is, and the threat he poses to our country, I feel very strongly about speaking out,’ she first revealed to NBC News.

She posted to X on Tuesday: ‘Well, I’m doing a thing tonight. #RepublicansForHarris.’

Why liberal DNC protestors surprisingly want Americans to ‘abandon’ Kamala Harris

Anti-DNC protestors descended upon Chicago slamming Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris, saying she’s been complicit in the Gaza ‘genocide’ and failing to improve the U.S.

Of the thousands of protestors who partook in Monday’s ‘March on the DNC,’ many interviewed by DailyMail.com said that Harris will not get their vote.

The hordes of activists chanted that the vice president is complicit in and supportive of the ‘genocide’ of Palestinians. They said President Joe Biden is at fault too, but their anger was aimed at the party’s heir apparent.

‘We’re calling people not to vote for Harris,’ one woman holding a sign reading ‘Abandon Harris ’24’ sign told DailyMail.com.

Donald Trump keeps up his counterprograming Tuesday with a visit to Michigan, his first visit to the crucial battleground since Joe Biden dropped out.

He heads to Livingston County Sheriff’s Office in Howell, just northwest of Detroit, where he is due to talk about ‘crime and safety.’

But his destination immediately attracted controversy because of its links to white supremacy. The Ku Klux Klan’s Grand Dragon had a Howell mailing address in the 1970s and just last month a small group of white supremacists marched through the town chanting ‘Heil Hitler.’

Trump critics see his visit as a ‘dog whistle’ to racists. At the weekend, Harris for President Michigan Communications Director Alyssa Bradley said:

Trump’s actions have encouraged them, and Michiganders can expect more of the same when he comes to town next week.

Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama are slated for the keynote speeches for night two of the Convention.

The unprecedented move would mark Harris’ second remakrs at the Convention – albeit remotely – after her brief remarks paying tribute to President Joe Biden on stage during night one on Monday.

Biden says anti-Israel protesters ‘have a point’

In his speech to the DNC on Monday night Joe Biden addressed the issue of anti-Israel protesters outside. He said:

Those protesters out in the street, they have a point. A lot of innocent people are being killed on both sides.

We’re working around the clock to end the civilian suffering of the Palestinian people and finally, finally, finally deliver a ceasefire and end this war.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus reveals what her ‘narcissistic, megalomaniac sociopath’ character on ‘Veep’ and Kamala Harris have in common

Julia Louis-Dreyfus appeared live from the DNC in Chicago on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’.

Her show ‘Veep’ has seen a 350 percent increase in viewers after Kamala Harris emerged as the Democratic nominee. She said:

James Taylor bumped for Biden

James Taylor was cut from what was supposed to be the key musical performance on the opening night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

It came amid chaotic delays and as organizers tried to stop Joe Biden’s speech being pushed back further.

The veteran singer-songwriter had been scheduled to appear after 9pm local time.

He would have perfromed following Jill Biden’s speech and before Ashley Biden, who introduced her father as the final speaker of the night.

Even after Taylor was cut the president did not get on stage util about 10.30pm local time.

Earlier, Taylor had been seen rehearsing, giving a hint of what the crowd missed.

Because of the raucous applause interrupting speaker after speaker, we ultimately skipped elements of our program to ensure we could get to President Biden as quickly as possible so that he could speak directly to the American people.
