Lava Blaze X 5G confirmed to launch in India on this date

The Lava Blaze X 5G will launch in India next week, the company announced via social media on Wednesday. The handset was first teased last month, but no details regarding its specifications or launch timeline were revealed. According to a teaser, Lava’s upcoming smartphone will feature a 64-megapixel camera and up to 16GB of RAM. A microsite has also been set up on Amazon specifically for the launch.

In a after Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Lava shared the Blaze X 5G release date along with a short teaser video revealing some of its features. The smartphone is launching on July 10 at 12:00 PM IST. Post-launch, it will be available exclusively on Amazon during the Prime Day sale, which is scheduled to take place on July 20 and 21.

The Lava Blaze X 5G is seen with a circular camera module on the rear, housing dual cameras and an LED flash. It also appears to have text etched into the camera unit that reads “64MP”, which could denote its primary sensor. Furthermore, the teaser suggests that it could come with up to 16GB of RAM, with 8GB of physical RAM and an option to add up to 8GB of RAM virtually.

While the exact specifications are unclear at this time, the handset is seen sporting a curved display on the front with a punch-hole for the front-facing camera. The power and volume buttons seem to be placed on the right side of the smartphone while the speaker grille, SIM tray and USB Type-C port could be placed at the bottom. The frame of the handset seems to be made of metal. As per the teaser images, it could come in two color options — Gray and Black/Blue.

As the name suggests, the smartphone will come with 5G connectivity. When launched, the Lava Blaze X 5G is expected to join other smartphones in the company’s Blaze-series such as Blaze Curve, Blaze 2 and Blaze 2 Pro.
