People are furious that I let the council decide to put in a new kitchen and I have children to do it
A WOMAN has hit back at internet trolls who claim she gave birth to babies to get social housing.
Naomi Wells from the UK does indeed live in social housing, but internet trolls got her circumstances wrong.
Someone posted a comment on social media to Naomi saying, “You have things that people who work 9 to 5 don’t have. That’s what’s bothering people, all because you had a baby or got pregnant?”
Naomi recently shared a video of the new kitchen the council had installed in her home for free, which caused controversy.
What the trolls forget to mention is that municipalities are required to replace kitchens and bathrooms every 20 years (depending on the municipality) to ensure they are safe and up to date.
Naomi reacted angrily to the stigma associated with living in social housing in a video.

She said, “Because I live in social housing, you have concluded that I am not allowed to work, and that is completely untrue.”
Naomi said she never got pregnant because she had trouble getting pregnant, but she eventually took her niece and nephew into her home.
She explained: “Unfortunately, I can’t have children.
“What I did seven years ago was rescue my niece and nephew from adoption.”
They were 8 years and 18 months old at the time and the selfless woman took them in, giving up her private rental apartment for a larger property to house them.
She moved back to renting a larger home, but was told that she was not allowed to work due to the foster care arrangement, so that the children could receive the proper care and support.
Because the rent went up and she also had to take care of two children, they had no money left at the end of the month.
Then she was told that her landlord was selling her house and that she could not find affordable private rental housing. She went to the municipality, where she now got her house.
Naomi continues: “I have put so much time, effort and money into this property to make it our home.
“And none of that comes from donations from the council or anyone else.”

The woman showed the work being done on her house, but said the council had only put up a fence around the garden and the new kitchen.
The clip was shared on her TikTok account @naomilouisewells24 where it went viral with over 39,000 views and 4,000 likes.
People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments, praising the mom for the amazing transformation.
Someone wrote: “Mark is a piece of shit. I live in social housing and work full time, I pay my own salary… social housing isn’t just for people who don’t work.”
Another commented: “Your home is beautiful, you should be proud of yourself.”
“This is beautiful. You shouldn’t have to explain your story but it’s so admirable. I hope this silences the judgmental people,” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “You don’t have to explain yourself, I think the house is beautiful!!!”
“Fantastic answer! Good for you,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “What a beautiful house.”
