My skin has been so happy since I introduced my ‘less flaky’ routine
The reward for taking good care of your skin seems to have a rejuvenating effect.
A skincare enthusiast shared how she took a break from her gruelling routine in an attempt to turn back the hands of time.
Reddit user Teamemotional3933 shared the adjustment she made to her daily skincare routine that makes her skin smile.
“More hydration/moisture, less exfoliation – or as I like to call it, less harshness and more kindness,” she said.
“My skin has been so happy since I stopped doing an exfoliating treatment every other step,” she continues.
Within her ten-step routine, she now uses just two exfoliating measures.
“Not only is my skin softer and smoother, but I feel like I actually see improvement from the few exfoliating steps I take,” she said.
The relief she had from eliminating that extra exfoliation really paid off.
“It used to seem like nothing worked,” she said.
For the first time, she received compliments about her skin.

It seems she wasn’t the only one who had an epiphany without having to exfoliate.
“Totally agree! I only exfoliate once a week and sometimes my face gets irritated from that. Moisturizer is my best friend,” one Redditor said.
There was also one hydrating purchase she couldn’t resist recommending: Cosrx Propolis Synergy Toner.
“I will shout this recommendation from the rooftops,” she said.
Another user was also impressed with the face-saving find.
“This stuff is amazing. In the summer it’s all I put on before I apply sunscreen. No moisturizer needed for my combination, oily self,” they said.
If you’d like to try this skin-enhancing solution for yourself, Ulta sells a bottle of Cosrx Propolis Synergy Toner for $22.

Dr. Anatalia Moore is a general practitioner and skin specialist with more than 11 years of clinical experience.
She told The US Sun that her goal is to empower patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin journey.
She said the basic principles of a beauty routine are the same for all ages: it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer and SPF.
“For me, moisturizers are super important, even in place of products with active ingredients,” she said.
“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right amount of hydration, replaces natural oils and seals them in, literally stabilizes your skin.
“This in itself can quickly soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as these are often worsened by dehydration.
“It also ensures that the skin can function as it should.
“This allows it to heal faster, which can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, fewer flare-ups of dermatitis and rosacea, and shorter-lasting, milder breakouts.”

Someone else had a tip of their own.
“Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel!” they recommended.
The exfoliating products she uses specifically target her problem areas.
To combat acne, she adds a product with benzoyl peroxide, while products with AHA or vitamin C help reduce redness.
“BP is also my favorite acne treatment,” one Redditor agreed.
