Jim Acosta is without a network after announcing his departure from CNN Tuesday – and he has already launched his own journalistic company.
In a video that was placed on X on Tuesday afternoon, the anchor announced a brand new substit that is already working, while he confirmed his on-Air only hours earlier.
“Welcome to my new company,” Acosta told more than 2 million followers on the platform, repeating a warning that he delivered during his last broadcast.
The video was published shortly after two people who were familiar with the business De New York Times said that the journalist were already thinking about his next steps, including a possible launch of his own journalistic company
Hours earlier, the anchor went to a very public split of the station and made Schoten Schoten at Donald Trump.
Since Acosta framed his old enemy as 'a tyrant', after having dedicated a large part of the hour to report on his recent movements.
In the meantime, the newly announced Substack will see him rubbing with others who have left their respective Legacy news stations for more autonomy, including the former CNN employee who broke the story last week, Oliver Darcy.
