A murderous mother who drowned her two sons is notorious has become a 'complete nightmare' behind bars since her long shot chance of conditional release was refused, prison sources say.
Susan Smith, 53, has a 30-year prison sentence to life for killing her sons Michael, 3, and Alexander, 1, in 1994 by putting them in her car and rolling in a South Carolina lake.
An employee of Leath Correctional Facility in South Carolina, where Smith is locked up, said the New York Post that she played nicely last year when she had the chance of conditional release, but her attitude switched as soon as she was refused.
“Last year, when she had the chance to get out, she was really cooperative, helpful, even pleasant,” they said.
“But now she's the opposite. Just rude and always bitchy. At night she went from model prisoner to a complete nightmare. ”
Smith's behavior was previously a point of discussion when her controversial hearing was approaching last year because it was revealed that she was confronted with the disciplinary charges of prison.
While the prison guard claimed that Smith had been a 'model prisoner' for the staff, she was caught communicating with a filmmaker to discuss her crimes, possibly on a shot on real fame in her release.

Smith's sons Michael, three, and Alexander, 14 months old, were tied in their car seats by Smith, who then let the car roll in a lake in South Carolina
When Smith went conditional release in November, her ex-husband David, the father of their two children she killed, begged the authorities to keep her locked up.
Smith has had a history of violations during her imprisonment, including drug use, self -mutilations and incidents in which she was caught on sex with guards.
In Smith's conditional zoom call, she broke in tears while she was insisted on finding officers found conditional officers that she had found religion and was a changed woman.
“I am a Christian and I know that God has forgiven me,” she said, begged the panel to “show the same kind of grace.”
During the hearing of the conditional release, the lawyer Tommy Thomas van de Murderes said that she obtained the diploma of an employee in 'Christian counseling' and accompanied other prisoners.
According to the Prison Guard who spoke with the New York Post, this was all part of Smiths Pre-Parole Plan to repair her image for the authorities.
“If you didn't know better, you would wonder why this really nice mother was in prison,” they said.
'She would call everyone' sweetheart 'and was really helpful. If she saw something on the floor, she would pick it up. She kept her bunk bed very neat. She was great. '
David spoke to his ex-wife in her hearing and insisted that he would be back every two years that she would go for the panel again and told the conditional sign: “She should never come out.”

Smith reported that the boys were missing in 1994 and claimed that an unknown black man took them during a carjacking and begged to give the supposed kidnapper back to give her sons back before they finally confess
As soon as her was refused, the prison employee said that her good behavior ended, and it was as if a switch was going. '
'She stopped friendly and cooperative. She doesn't keep her areas as clean as before. It seems that the hair doesn't matter. '
“She was one of the best (prison) employees earlier (her conditional hearing),” they went on. 'And now she does the absolute minimum so that she does not get into trouble. And she has an attitude when she does it.
“It is clear that the conditional sign could look right through her … It just shows how manipulative she is.”
Smith's crimes shocked America in 1995 because she initially claimed that her two sons were taken by a black man who carjacked her.
Smith, who was 22 at the time, had an affair with a man named Tom Findlay, the son of her boss at Conso Products – a home security.
But after Smith kissed and stroked another man during a Naked Hot Tub party from 1994, Findlay, now 56, dumped her – and told her in a letter that he did not want to be with a woman with children.

David Smith held a picture of his murdered sons Michael and Alex and smiled after his ex-wife Susan was sentenced to life imprisonment on two counts of murder
“Susan, I could really fall for you,” Findlay wrote. 'You have so many engaging qualities about you, and I think you are a great person.
'But as I told you before, there are some things about you that are not suitable for me, and yes, I talk about your children. I am sure your children are good children, but it really doesn't matter how good they can be … The fact is, I just don't want children. '
A week later, Furious and despondent Smith let her Burgundian Mazda roll down a bootop in John D. Long Lake with her two sons-Michael, three and 14 months old Alex-Nog always tied in their car seats.
While Smith claimed that she was carjacked, she and her husband campaigned nine days on TV and begged the supposed kidnapper to give their boys back.
The mother of two, however, finally known after the nine days, and a jury condemned her on two counts of murder in the first degree, but rejected her the death penalty.
In February last year, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that the bad mother had had telephones with a man who had half her age from prison, one of the at least seven men with whom she supposedly had in preparation while she was stuck.
