Smallville actor Tom Welling was arrested in connection with driving under the influence on Monday in North California.
Welling, 47, was detained shortly after midnight in the parking lot of an Arby restaurant in Yreka, California, TMZ reported Tuesday, stating police information.
The Putnam Valley, the blood alcohol content of the actor born in New York was measured on or above 0.08 percent, reported the outlet, with reference to legal data.
Welling has since been released for detention after he was cited for the violation, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
Welling is best known for its role as Clark Kent for 217 episodes in the Smallville TV series of 2001-2011.

Welling has not yet responded publicly to his arrest in the small city in North California, which is about 16 miles south of the border of Oregon.
Welling and his wife Jessica Rose Lee, who is a equestrian sport, his parents of two sons: Thomson Wylde, six, and Rocklin von, three.

Welling, recently posted on social media on Sunday, because he wanted his husband a happy birthday.

Welling accompanied by a carousel of photos of her, including a few shot from those who ride horses.
The couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary last month, while on November 30, 2019 in San Ynez, California in Sunstone Vineyards & Winery, they imposed them.
Welling was previously married to model Jamie White, with the couple separating in 2013 after a decades of marriage.

Welling, in a chat with comicbookmovie.com in October, said that at a certain moment he could repeat his role if the man of Staal could again.
“You know, I think now because of the two guys I have with my dear wife … We have a lot of costumes at home,” Welling said. 'It started with the first Halloween and now we have, I don't know, 40 or 50 costumes. The only costume we don't have is the Superman costume. '
