A cleaning guru has listed five popular interior design trends that she would never want in her home, including an unhygienic find in the bathroom.

This is what an expert, known only as @, saysclean whistlewho shared the viral trends on TikTok that she wants to stay away from. So if you’re planning on transforming your home, you’ll want to pay close attention.
One of the popular interior looks that you’ll never see the cleaning professional spend money on is a set of matte black kitchen doors, she warned in the now viral video.
Although this trend is all the rage these days and gives the kitchen a more chic look, the expert explains that removing all fingerprints would be ”a nightmare”.
Meanwhile, the guru had a few annoyances when it came to renovating the bathroom, including a wooden toilet seat.
The guru from the North East of England stuck to an alternative, calling it ”highly unhygienic and mould’s best friend”.
While tiles are a popular choice for many bathrooms, Lee wasn’t a fan of one particular design: small tiles.
She warned in the video that you would have to clean ‘1000x more grout’ than larger tiles.
But if you still want smaller tiles, regardless of design, there’s a simple DIY idea that will make them shine like new again and remove all mold with ease.
Cleaning guru Iwan Carrington recently shared a great trick for removing mouldy grout using baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.
The professional mixed the two ingredients into a cement-like paste.
“I like to put on my rubber gloves and apply the paste directly to the joints,” says Iwan.
After applying the mixture to the area, Ivan let it work for about ten minutes. Then he scrubbed the paste away with an electric device.
While it is not necessary to use a power tool, it is advisable for other cleaning enthusiasts to keep their eyes on the ground as the mixture can splatter.
The TikTok pro also told her 2.9K followers on the platform why waterfall faucets, as trendy as they are, can be a headache for cleaning enthusiasts.
“It’s really hard to get in there right away and clean them properly.”
And last but not least: freestanding baths are highly recommended for many interior design enthusiasts.

IF you want to make sure your home looks glamorous, these are the trends interior designers hate.
NO YELLOW: According to Bilal Rehman, yellow paint in the bedroom is absolutely a no-go.
