Honor 200 5G, Honor 200 Pro 5G to launch in India on this date

The Honor 200 5G series is all set to launch in India in the coming days. Honor had confirmed the imminent launch of the devices and had revealed some of the specifications of the phones via a press invite on Friday. They run Honor’s MagicOS 8.0 skin, which is based on Android 14. It will be available in two color options in the country. The Honor 200 series was earlier launched in China and Europe. The global variant of the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro are powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset respectively.

Honor 200 5G series India launch date

The Honor 200 5G and Honor 200 Pro 5G India launch date has been set for July 18 with the launch event beginning at 12:30 PM IST. The Pro model is confirmed to come in Black and Ocean Cyan colour options while the vanilla Honor 200 will come in Black and Moonlight White colour options. The devices are available for purchase on Amazon, Honor India’s website and leading retail stores.

Both models run on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 in India. The Honor Pro 5G has a 6.78-inch quad-curved display.

While Honor is yet to release detailed spec sheets for the Indian versions of the Honor 200 5G series, we can expect them to offer similar features as their European counterparts.

Honor 200 series specifications, price (expected)

The European variants of the Honor 200 family feature full-HD+ (1,224 x 2,700 pixels) displays. The Pro model features a 6.78-inch display and is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The vanilla model has a 6.7-inch display and is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. They flaunt triple camera units on the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide macro camera. On the front, they have 50-megapixel selfie cameras. They carry 5,200mAh batteries with support for 100W wired fast charging. The Pro model supports 66W wireless fast charging.

The Honor 200 costs GBP 499.99 (approximately Rs. 53,500) in the UK, while the Honor 200 Pro costs GBP 699.99 (approximately Rs. 74,800). The pricing in India is expected to be similar to that of the European pricing.
