NBA legend Dwayne Wade has revealed that he had to have part of his kidney removed after doctors had found a cancer -like tumor.
The 43-year-old, who is married to Gabrielle Union, said in the last episode of his podcast that he had removed 40 percent of his kidney in December 2023.
In the episode shared with people, Wade revealed the 'shocking' diagnosis and admitted that he had postponed to the doctor.
After his father's struggle with prostate cancer, he eventually got a physical after being stomach problems and cramps. He also urinated slowly.
'About the process of control, such as:' Why does my p *** come out slowly, why is my power not powerful? Why is it a bit weak? ', Wade explains.
He then revealed that a full-body scan found a 'cyst/tumor' on one of his kidneys and doctors told him that he needed surgery.
Surgeons then removed slightly less than half of his kidney and came to the conclusion that the tumor was cancer.
