Fire personnel fights on Friday morning in a commercial building in the east of Brisbane, only a few hours after fire destroyed a similar structure in the north of the city.
The Queensland fire brigade said that they are on stage with a commercial structure fire on Kingsford Smith Drive, Pinkenba, which broke out at 7.15 am and 'produces large smoking volumes'.
Last night, crews had just extinguished a fierce fire that had flooded a building in Boothby ST, Kedron, which had also produced thick smoke and had caused warnings about air quality.
Residents are advised that they have to close windows and doors and keep the airways in the area if necessary.
“Motorists must be careful and be aware of the circumstances,” said Queensland Fire Department.
