Dave Portnoy expressed his grief on X after Barrstool Sports Nashville's Iga Obrycka died earlier this week, she was 28, according to reports.
The cause of death of Obrycka in Nashville, Tennessee, remains unknown.
On Thursday, Portnoy mourned her death on social media and wrote 'More Triest News in the Barstool family. We suddenly lost Iga Obrycka this week. IGA has actually run our bar group for us, “reads his x message.
'If you ever went to Barstool Nashville, you probably saw her there. I would have hired her for every position she wanted at our company because she was so smart and driven. Just incredibly sad news and another cruel memory of not taking a minute for a minute. RIP IGA. '
Sharing Barstool Nashville's message about Obrycka's sudden death on Instagram, Portnoy wrote: 'Really sad news in the Barstool family. Another cruel memory of never considering a day of course. Iga will be missed very much. '
In their tribute, Barrstool praised Nashville Obrycka for hearing leadership and impact on the company.
“We lost the leader, the heart and soul of Barstool Nashville, Iga Obrycka,” they are a carousel of her photos. 'Our heart goes out to her family, those in which she was born and those of us she chose to be in her life. There will never be like she and she will always be with us.

One of Obrycka's friends and colleagues, Cameron Morris, wrote: 'Best partner in crime to explore a new city and to do it all while' working '. Likewise, another friend wrote, Brian Vo,: 'Thank you for being a great person Iga. It is a sad loss and devastating tragedy for everyone. '
Obrycka and her family, born in Poland, moved to the United States in early 2000. She grew up in New York City before moving to Nashville in 2020.
In New York City, IGA worked for the Tao Group Hospitality and managing the locations and events of the company for almost nine years.
