‘Pedophile’ dies in car crash while being chased by NYC cops, hours after abducting and abusing 9-year-old girl from supermarket

A paedophile who abducted and abused a nine-year-old girl from a supermarket has died in a car crash while fleeing police.

Wayne Noel, 64, died Friday at New York Presbyterian-Queens Hospital after running a stop sign when police attempted to arrest him around 12:30 p.m.

He was the subject of an 18-hour manhunt after the girl was abducted from a Key Foods store in Queens Village around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, police confirmed.

The girl was there with her grandmother, who left her alone for a few minutes to go to the toilet. Noel had enough time to strike.

Wayne Noel, 64, was the subject of an 18-hour manhunt for a pedophile who dragged a nine-year-old girl by her hair from a Key Foods in Queens, New York, and sexually assaulted her twice.

Noel walked up to her and demanded that she “come in front of me.” He then grabbed her by the hair, dragged her out of the supermarket and pushed her into his car.

He drove the gray Honda about seven blocks away, where he sexually assaulted her until a passing Good Samaritan tried to stop him.

Before the girl could be rescued, Noel drove back to Key Foods, where he sexually assaulted her for the second time, police said.

Noel then dumped her on the street and drove away.

The New York Police Department assigned all detectives in the area to find the rapist and identified Noel from CCTV footage of the Key Foods abduction.

Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry on Thursday night called the kidnapper “the epitome of evil” and vowed to track him down.

“It is almost incomprehensible that such evil could strike in a city we call home. The NYPD will not rest until this devil is locked behind iron bars,” he said.

Noel’s car was eventually found on 90th Avenue in Queens and police attempted to pull him over, but he refused and ignored a stop sign.

The child molester has a long criminal history and has been arrested four times, the most recent being an eerily similar robbery of a woman in 2022.

According to police, Noel approached her on Queens Boulevard and threatened her with a knife, then forced her into the same gray Honda.

Luckily, she was able to escape from the car and was not attacked.

According to police, Noel may work for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, but this has not yet been confirmed.
