Reddit user Seulgih shared her routine in a post on the social media platform.

“My skin tends to go a little haywire during the transition period between summer and fall. I used to hate the breakouts that I get now,” she said.

She added that her method is simple and practical.

“This is a skin care routine that has given me the best skin of my life in a long time,” she said.

“No frills, this is also my introduction to retinol.

“As a woman approaching 30, I want to make sure I include retinol in my routine.

“I have dry skin and my biggest concern is anti-aging and dryness, so I used the super rich cream.”

THE VERDICT

She shared her thoughts on different types of skin care products, starting with a facial oil.

“My ‘ride or die forever’ cleansing oil,” she said of DHC Cleansing Oil.

“This is my absolute favorite, it’s one of the thicker cleansing oils, but I never need makeup remover because this product gets it all off.”

I’m 40 but look younger than I did when I was 20. I spend a lot of money on skincare but my biggest secret doesn’t have to cost anything.

She also recommended a cleanser she discovered while living in South Korea.

“I discovered this on a trip to Korea and took it with me without thinking much about it,” she said of the Acwell cleansing gel.

“It turned out to be a great choice for me.”

She added a drugstore product to her retinol fix: a powerful anti-aging product.

“It didn’t break me out and [it] “didn’t cause any irritation,” she said of Cerave’s retinol serum.

“I think it’s because it also has niacinamide in it, which gives me a brightening effect on my freckles and dark spots.”

Although she’s not a fan of eye creams, she has incorporated one into her skincare routine.

“I’m not a huge fan of eye cream, but I wanted a richer cream for my eyes after using a gel cream last summer,” she says, referring to Cerave’s eye cream.

Finally, she uses a K-beauty favorite to seal the deal.

“My skin is so supple in the morning after using this,” she enthuses.
