The summer of the prime minister of Globetrotting cost taxpayers nearly £ 700,000, it was unveiled yesterday.

Keir Starmer went to the office at nine trips during his first three months and spent an estimated 62 hours in the air.

Transparency data published by the Cabinet Office shows the total price tag for the travel £ 697.198, which set the costs per hour at more than £ 11,000.

His first trip was to a NATO top in Washington, just a few days after he won the general elections in July.

The newly published details state that he was accompanied by his wife together with 24 officials in the government's own plane for a total cost of £ 128,346.

Shortly thereafter he went to the Euro 2024 football championships final in Berlin, again accompanied by Lady Starmer and six employees.

Sir Keir then went on individual flights to the Olympic Games and Paralympics opening ceremonies in Paris before traveling to Berlin again for a meeting with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

In September the Prime Minister flew to Dublin, went back to Washington to see Joe Biden in the White House and then met Giorgia Meloni in Rome. His last journey of the month saw him attending the UN general meeting in New York on a trip with 24 officials who cost a total of £ 236,020.

Official costs have not yet been published by his further journeys in the fall, so that he was called 'never Keir', despite increasing taxes at air rates.

Government sources believe that the travel costs of Sir Keir are comparable to those of his conservative predecessors.

An insider said, “These were important international commitments in which the prime minister flew the flag for Great Britain.”
