A few in Indiana accused of burning their child's bodies and making chains of the axis dropped the charges while researchers continue to look for more evidence.

Steven Valle, 31, and Samantha Sebella, 25, were arrested in September 2024 after Valle was reportedly familiar with friends at killing two children and burning their bodies in their backyard -fire kit.

In the court on Wednesday, a judge rejected the charges without prejudice, which means that public prosecutors can restore the case at a later date.

The case was rejected because there was “no evidence that a crime took place,” said Valle's lawyers.

“The cases against Steven Valle and Samantha Sebella were fired today, whereby the state had again allowed the indictment if they obtain new evidence,” defender Mark van der Molen told ABC 7.

“In collaboration with Sebella's talented lawyer Brook Scheurich, we have assessed all the material and we have not seen any evidence that even a crime took place.”

“It is our hope that this dismissal will put an end to this issue,” he added.

However, Jasper County's public prosecutor Jacob Taulman told Law & Crime that they expect them to refill the case as soon as anthropologists continue to search by discovering ashes, debris and other material police.

He described the process as 'difficult and annoying' because of the small size of the material. Officers of Justice also continue to comb through digital data.

“We plan to seek justice in this matter,” Taulman told the outlet.

When representatives arrived at the Wheatfield house of the parents on 20 September, they found 'partial bone fragments' that could determine a specialist in Indianapolis as a person.

The couple was then taken into custody in October and accused of murder, neglect of a dependent death, abuse of a corpse, obstruction of justice and not reporting a dead body.

Authorities say that the couple initially denied every knowledge that children were burned in the back garden when delegates found them in a hotel in Newton County on 20 September.

The couple admitted that it had one child without a birth certificate or documentation because the child was born at home, according to judicial documents obtained by Fox News.

The couple also denied having had a miscarriage or stillbirth. The files of Jasper County Health Department had no documentation that indicated that Sebella had once given birth.

But the police still took their mobile phones, from which they were reportedly able to discover countless messages that valle killed and burned several children.

“You killed my children, because you are finished *****, you have never loved me,” read a message, according to judicial documents. 'You killed our babies, I have forever (sic) DNA in my body', another message between Sebella and Valle Read

“You killed our babies, I have forever (sic) DNA in my body,” another message between Sebella and Valle Read.

A third child without papers was then taken out of their detention, said law enforcement.

Subsequently, on September 30, the Sheriff's Office, the Indiana State Police and the Coroner's Office by Jasper County descended together with two cadaver dogs at the Wheatfield house where they used to live. Valle and Sabella were reportedly released from the building earlier this year.

The dogs marked a fireplace and a pile of axle near the garage, so that researchers dig up part of the back garden with kicks and uncover the bone fragments, according to Fox News.

By 3 October, according to judicial documents, Valle admitted that Sebella had given a boy in 2018.

He said officers that Sebella gave birth to the child while he was gone and claimed that when he returned home, he fainted Sebella and the child lay between her legs.

The child was not awake or breathing, Valle said, claiming that he cleaned the newborn, placed him in a blanket and put him in a box.

The police also say that Valle told them that the children were buried for about three to five years before he excavated them and burned them in the fire. Allegedly he added that he saved part of the axis to make a chain

Allegedly Valle said that he bury the child in his backyard after three days because he “knew that the child would not come back to life again.”

The suspect told officers that Sebella became pregnant a second time and gave birth to a child in a bathtub prematurely while he was working.

He said the child was dead and was wrapped in a blanket when he came home and buried the child in the back garden near the first, according to judicial documents.

The police also say that Valle told them that the children were buried for about three to five years before he excavated them and burned them in the fire.

He reportedly added that he saved part of the axis to make a chain.

As the investigation continued, officers learned that Valle and Sebella had physically violent and determined that Sebella did not take action to protect her two deceased children, her living child or herself against violence.

The police also said that she did not make any effort to inform the authorities of death, funerals or burns of the children.

Due to no evidence that a crime confirms, both parties are not in custody.
