She shared her thoughts on popular beauty brands on Reddit’s Drugstore MUA forum, which has 178,000 members.

“I’ve tried many different eyeshadow brands at different price points, and for me Colourpop is 100% the best option,” she said, writing under the name Mother crabs.

“I find most drugstore eyeshadows to be quite drying, which means they don’t blend as well.

“Covergirl, Wet n Wild and NYX all fall into this category.”

The Redditor complained that NYX is “really expensive” for a drugstore brand.

Many people are enthusiastic about Elf because it is affordable and functional.

However, she doesn’t think it’s ‘special’ and can’t be compared to expensive make-up brands.

“Ulta Beauty’s eye shadows are a good, solid option,” she said.

“They are better than the previous brands, but not as good as BH or Colourpop.

“I’m not sure if BH Cosmetics is technically a drugstore product, but their price point is.

“I haven’t bought from them since Revolution took them over so I can’t vouch for their current quality, but they have been great in the past.

“Very bright, pigmented colors.”

She said Colourpop is her “absolute favorite” eyeshadow brand, despite some fallout.

“They’re super soft and easy to blend, and they come in almost every color you can think of,” she said.

“I actually prefer Colourpop over the $70 palettes I bought from Huda Beauty and Natasha Denona.

“The shimmers aren’t as pretty and textured, but I find that the matte shades from Colourpop are easier to blend.”

Colourpop’s Going Coconuts eyeshadow palette is currently marked down from $14 to $9.80 on the brand’s website.

It contains nine ‘highly pigmented’ shades, ranging from ‘creamy vanilla with silver tips’ to ‘deep umber’.

According to the brand, the color looks best when applied to the eyes with a flat, firm brush.

Satisfied customers have given it a perfect 5-star rating and written rave reviews.

“I love that Colourpop is still so affordable these days,” said one customer.

“Everything is top notch makeup too. I wanted a basic brown/neutral eyeshadow palette and I landed on this one.

“It was this one or the ‘that’s taupe’ or whatever it’s called. The shadows are all creamy, even the matte ones.

“They blend great and last a long time on my eyes. I love them.”

Another person praised the versatile range of colors in the palette.

“The shades in this palette are so beautiful and blend super well,” they said,

“Perfect neutral palette for everyday use, with a balance between light/dark shades and matte/shiny shades.”
