The CMF Phone 1 is indeed turning out to be a very interesting device, with Nothing itself officially starting to reveal more details about the smartphone, building up the hype leading up to its official unveiling on July 8. While we’ve seen some leaked renders of the device in the past, which hinted at replaceable rear panels and more, there’s a lot more at stake here as the phone also appears to feature a manual dial/rotary knob around one corner, along with replaceable, customizable rear panels. While much of this will remain a mystery until the official launch, a new leak has now surfaced that hints at a ton of information regarding the phone’s specifications as well as its pricing in India.

Tipster Yogesh Brar took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted two to inform leaked not only the core specifications of the device, but also a major detail regarding its design. The tipster also leaked the price tags of the Phone 1 for India, which are said to be Rs. 15,999 and 17,999 after discounts for the two available variants. Simply put, we expect the CMF Phone 1 to be priced starting at Rs. 20,000, which would still be an interesting price point considering the rather interesting-looking design. The phone is also said to offer a basic IP52 certification against dust and water.

As for the specifications, the smartphone is said to be available with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC in two RAM and storage variants. The base model is said to offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the second variant could get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset is said to support up to 2TB of storage expansion via microSD.

The CMF Phone 1 is said to sport a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED panel with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and a typical brightness of 800 nits. The phone is said to have an in-display fingerprint reader and run Android 14 out of the box. The tipster even shared the company’s software promise, which is said to be 2 years of software and 3 years of security updates.

According to the tipster, the phone will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back that will be accompanied by a depth sensor. The primary camera is said to not offer OIS (only EIS) but will offer 4K video recording at 30 fps. For selfies, the CMF Phone is said to have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Nothing’s CMF Phone 1 is said to feature a 5,000mAh battery and offer 33W wired fast charging.

The CMF Phone 1 is expected to be unveiled on July 8, 2024, alongside the new CMF Buds Pro 2 and Watch Pro 2.

Will the Nothing Phone 2 serve as a successor to the Phone 1, or will the two coexist?
