I found an exact copy of my favorite moisturizer with 3x the cream for $11
INFLATION hasn’t stopped one skincare addict from focusing on maintaining her appearance, as she’s found an affordable copy of her favorite moisturizer.
She vowed never to spend $25 on a beauty product again because the cheaper alternative contained almost the same ingredients.

She wrote an extensive review of the moisturizers on Reddit’s Skincare Addiction forum, which has nearly 4 million members.
“I have been using the Aveeno Calm and Restore oatmeal moisturizer for almost a year,” she said, writing under the name Llilywebskateboarder.
“Great moisturizer, the problem is it was $15 for one jar when I first bought it, now (due to inflation) it’s $25!! $25 for exactly a month’s supply.
“It is the most gentle, rich, fragrance-free gel moisturizer I have ever tried.”
The beauty fanatic said she would recommend the product to those who can afford it.
However, she had to find a cheaper moisturizer to save money, since she goes to college and has no job.
Neutrogena, Cetaphil, CeraVe and Coca-Butter were among the products she tried in her search for a “gel-like daily” moisturizer.
A post from another Redditor convinced her to try Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream.
“I looked it up and it basically had the same ingredients,” she said.
“And because it’s for babies, it can’t be too intense, so I went looking for it at my local Walgreens and there it was.
“$11 for 5 oz compared to $25 for 1.7 oz is a HUGE difference to me. It’s the same oat infused formula from the same company!!
“I can tell you that I have been using this for two weeks and this is an exact copy.”
She said Aveeno Calm and Restore Oat Moisturizer and the Aveeno baby product both have an oat scent that disappears within five minutes.
They also have a similar “watery” consistency that improves the skin without having to use a large amount at once.
“Since I started using the cheaper knockoffs, I haven’t had a single pimple,” she says.
“Apply layered under sunscreen, no pilling or strange shine.
“Perfect for morning and evening.
“I’m so glad I tried this, I will never buy that $25 moisturizer again because this one is honestly better.
“I might go back to it in the colder months, but I’m sure I could apply a thicker moisturizer over this cream as well.”
She shared photos of the product’s packaging and photos of the moisturizer on her skin.

“It’s exactly the same, it’s wonderfully hydrating,” she said,
“And if you feel like it’s not hydrating enough, you don’t have to feel guilty about putting it on your body or your feet or anything because it’s $11.
“Those are two very tasty sandwiches!”
