Mom shows off newborn’s unique name, angers people because it’s a pet
FINDING the perfect baby name is no easy task for parents. You have to make sure you don’t fool others and choose one that suits their personality.
While it can take a while to find the best baby name, many people have a name in mind before they even find out they’re pregnant.
And it seems that for one couple this has worked, because the choice of a strange baby name came from their lifestyle.
When their son was born, the name was quickly shared on social media.
They captured the special moment with a blue teddy bear they had placed in the crib. The teddy bear held a name tag to announce their son’s name.
The name? Gnarly Maverick.
For us Brits, the word gnarly is usually a synonym for something that is old, twisted and in poor condition.
So it’s not exactly a source of inspiration for most of us when it comes to naming our child.
However, it appears that this child’s parents were surfers, which gives a very different meaning to the word.
‘Gnarly’ can be used to describe large and dangerous waves, something that excites them.
While it may have been a name that suited the parents, people weren’t so sure about their child.
The post went viral in the Facebook group, that name is a tragedywith over 400 likes.
People were quick to respond and share their thoughts in the comments.
Someone wrote: “That’s my cat’s name, haha, but why would you call someone that?”
Another commented: “My kids have unique names…but I wouldn’t do this.”
“I have no words for this,” wrote a third.
