2017 report on sexual assault charges against ‘Sandip Ghosh’ goes viral – Times of India
KOLKATA: A 2017 report published by Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post about an Indian orthopedic surgeon who has been identified as Sandip Ghosh Monday went viral when he was accused of inappropriately touching a male student nurse.
It is unclear whether the report referred to RG Kar former director of the hospital. The West Bengal Orthopaedic Association said it was “investigating the report”. Some members said they were aware that Ghosh had faced a “legal problem” during one of his trips on board.
According to the report, the orthopedic surgeon allegedly fondled the complainant’s hip and attempted to touch his genitals. The visiting doctor then allegedly asked the male student nurse, “Do you like it?”
The report states that the doctor attributed the complaint against him to a misunderstanding. He allegedly accidentally touched the nurse’s hip while demonstrating how to repair a dislocated shoulder.
