Trolls Say Neighbors Should Report My Messy House – My Kid Is A Wrecking Ball
A mother shared a real-life insight into her life as a parent of an active toddler.
She filmed her messy kitchen and explained that her two-year-old was responsible for much of the chaos.
In her viral videoTikTok user Remi (@remiclog) revealed that her messy kitchen was the result of a ‘burnout’.
The self-proclaimed “disorganized mom” told her followers that the mess was just the result of a few days of not cleaning.
She panned the camera around the house to capture the dishes in the sink, the food scraps on the counter, and the full trash can.
Her entire kitchen floor was also littered with trash and loose objects.
“As you can see, the summer holidays and the lack of routine got to me,” said Remi.
“This isn’t a mess of weeks, this is just a few days where I dropped the ball because I couldn’t keep up mentally anymore.”
Although the mother in her video made good progress cleaning up the kitchen, she said she still has a lot of work to do.
She explained that her “whole house” looked the same and that her two-year-old was “like a wrecking ball.”
Remi said she tried to do housework after her toddler went to bed, but found it difficult.
She also said her two-year-old son “completely refuses” to clean up after himself.
However, she had every confidence that he would quickly learn the life skill.
Despite her honest insight into balancing parenting and household duties, there were still some trolls who took issue with her messy home.
“I feel sorry for your neighbours, they should file a complaint with the council,” wrote one viewer.
“Something is wrong when your kids make so much mess,” said another follower.
“Mine just weren’t allowed to do that and I had to constantly distract myself and find other things to do.”
Top 5 Reasons Why Neighbors Fight
A survey by Compare the Market revealed the top reason why British neighbours argue
- Broken Fences – At the top of the board were broken fences and who was responsible for fixing them?
- Parking: One of the leading causes of neighborhood disputes, with 54.1 percent of people having problems with people parking in front of their home, parking space or driveway
- Trees – complaints about a neighbour’s tree damaging your garden path were also common, with almost half of respondents finding this frustrating.
- Trash Can Wars – Outdoor trash can etiquette continues to spark some of the most heated debates between neighbors
- Nosy neighbors – some people have their eyes and ears ready to take a peek and cause problems for others
“No disrespect intended, but maybe you should teach your kids to throw their trash in the trash can and not on the ground?” a third person suggested.
“Your children make that mess because you let them. [to].”
“Your children need to help you, even a two year old can learn to help. You need to take care of the mother to take care of the children,” wrote another TikTok user.
“Well then you need to address his behavior if that’s the mess, or clean up after he goes to bed,” said one viewer.
“You should never let it get to that state, minging,” someone else noted.
