A 15-year-old boy is accused of the murder of Harvey Willgoose, 15, who was stabbed to death at a school in Sheffield, said the CPS.

Harvey Willgoose was taken to the hospital with 'serious injuries' after the attack on All Saints Catholic High School, where the police were called on Monday afternoon at 12.17 pm.

Emergency services were confronted with a scene of chaos while she dived in the courtyard of the school, while classrooms were immersed in Lockdown and the grounds were closed in the aftermath.

Despite attempts to save the teenager, Harvey was later confirmed that he had died of his injuries shortly before 4 p.m.

Chris Hartley, deputy Chief Crown Crown Officer for the CPS Yorkshire and Humberside, said: 'The Crown Prosecution Service has assessed a file of evidence by the police of South Yorkshire.

'We have authorized the South Yorkshire police to accuse a 15-year-old of murder in connection with the death of Harvey Willgoose, 15, at the All Saints Catholic High School on 3 February. He is also accused of possession of an article with magazines and one count of Affray.

'The Crown Prosecution Service reminds of all those involved that the criminal proceedings against this suspect are active and that youth is entitled to a fair trial. It is extremely important that there may be no reporting, comments or sharing information online, which can harm these procedures in any way. '

The first hearing in this case will take place on Wednesday 5 February at Sheffield Youth Court.

Harvey's grieving mother, Caroline Willgoose, showed moving youth photos of her son on Facebook on Monday evening, while friends and relatives tried to comfort her with genuine messages.

The grandfather of the victim was upset to comment last night. “None of the family really knows what happened, so I just can't say anything,” he said.

The teenager was reportedly 'stabbed three times' by a fellow student with whom he had 'shared threatening reports with', according to a local 18-year-old who has friends at the school.

This is a crushing news – more to follow.
