PM Modi virtually stops six Vande Bharat trains in Ranchi | India News – Times of India


RANCHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday virtually met six From Bharat Trains for Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh in Ranchi. Earlier, the PM had ordered the trains from Tatanagar but his helicopter could not take off from Ranchi airport due to poor visibility and bad weather conditions. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar were present at Tatanagar railway station on the occasion.
The new trains will operate on the Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah and Gaya-Howrah routes. The trains will faster connectivityaccording to PMO.
“Today every city and every state wants a Vande Bharat train to improve connectivity,” Modi said. He stressed that the expansion of rail connectivity in the eastern states will strengthen the region’s economy and greatly benefit regular travellers, businesses, professionals and student communities. “Modern railway infrastructure is essential for rapid development,” he said.
