She wrote: “Things that changed my brain chemistry: babysitting billionaires.”

The first advantage was that they were allowed to drive their Range Rovers, as they were the most ‘practical’ cars They were the owners and had her food delivered by Whole Foods.

Gemma also got to stay in a number of extravagant country houses and told how one of them had a lift and its own cinema.

She added: “I wasn’t actually allowed to take photos and videos of the house, but now I regret not taking more.”

The food also came as a surprise. She told how she had once seen the children being served filet mignon, but they didn’t like it.

She said the lavish meal was “thrown away” because they “changed their minds” about what they wanted.

Gemma was also shocked that her wealthy family also had a masseuse come to the house every morning at 5am for two hours.

One of the components of the jobs What she found strange was the communication aspect of her role.

She explained that she was “only allowed to talk to the mother if it was something very important about the children”.

Otherwise she had to go to the caretaker with questions.

Although she got to see how the one percent elite lives, there were a number of things the nanny found annoying at work.

She described working for a billionaire family as “torture” because of her room situation.

She explained that they wanted her to “live with them, but my bedroom was a playroom with toys everywhere and I had to sleep on the couch.”

The nanny claims she also had to monitor the children 24/7, which caused her to get too little sleep.

Despite the drawbacks, many people seemed interested in working as an elite nanny.
