The little-known half-brother of vice-president JD Vance makes his own trip to politics and announces on Tuesday that he is on his way to mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Cory Bowman, 36, a predecessor in a local stapling church and the co-owner of a coffee shop in the city, attracted petitions to run for the highest position of the city, reports De Cincinnati Enquirer.
He then announced on social media that he collects signatures to get to the mood in November.
Weeks ago my flight got up [Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport]Return home from the most monumental inauguration in my generation, “Bowman wrote on Instagram.
“When I landed, I knew the city where my family and I live and love cannot fall behind in the critical years.”
He continued to say that he is running at the office to give the people of Cincinnati a choice: a choice to see years of prosperity, growth and joy in our amazing city center.
“A population should never be complacent with what things are,” Bowman continued. “They must have the choice to decide their own future.”
Bowman is now the first Republican to run for Mayor since 2009.

Bowman grew up on a farm north of the city and moved to Cincinnati with his wife and children in 2020.
In the same year he founded the Rivierkerk in the west End of the city, which learns about the recording and encourages to speak in tongues, according to the Daily Beast.
“My heart fell in love with it,” Bowman said about the neighborhood, where he is also Kings Coffee co-owner.
He told the enquirer that he had already considered being involved in the local government as a way to return, but after attending his brother and President Donald Trump inauguration, he was more determined.
“There is no one who welter louder when he was sworn because he is my brother,” Bowman said about the vice president, whom he said is “an incredible role model of mine.”
Bowman also said that he and his brother spoke in the 'first phases' before he officially put his hat in the ring for mayor of Cincinnati.
He and Vance share the same father, Donald Bowman, who was the second husband of Vance's mother.
Their father put Vance – who would later take the surname of his grandfather – for adoption when he was in kindergarten, but Vance was able to develop a relationship with Donald and his half -brothers and sisters as a teenager.

The future Vice President even lived with the family in their farm in Ohio for a few weeks for a few weeks, he told Hillbilly Elegy in his memoirs.
In the book, Vance described his father as a 'pious Christian', who inspired Vance to experiment with his own religious views – eventually converted to Catholicism as an adult.
Cory also described his father as religious and said that he usually matches conservative values.
He pointed to 'bureaucracy' that slows down the development and the concentration of homes with a low income in the West End – as a result of which 10 inhabitants submit a federal housing complaint against the city – as something that he would like to tackle as a mayor.
But Bowman is confronted with a potentially printing field in the race, with eight people who attract petitions for mayor.
None of the candidates, including the established Democrat Aftab Pureval, handed in the required 500 signatures in the mood, which should appear on 20 February.
Nevertheless, Alex Linser, chairman of the Democratic Party of Hamilton County Democratic Party seemed and said: 'Mayor Pureval did it great and everyone can see that the city is being run better today than before he took on.
“The voters of Cincinnati have put a lot of confidence in democratic leaders,” he added. 'It is a safe, well -guided city where you can raise a family.
“We don't need the kind of chaos that comes from the town hall of the Trump presidency,” said Linser.
