A West -Australian politician has legally changed his name to 'Austin Trump' in what he claimed was a protest against the Labor government and her 'authoritarian' policy.
The MP of the Hoge Huis, formerly known as Ben Dawkins, officially changed his name in Austin Letts Trump – although he prefers the nickname 'Aussie' – for the WA elections in March.
The change appeared on Thursday on the website of the Parliament, the newly updated Wikipedia page of the independent parliament member, and he will appear on the mood when voters will go to the polls such as 'Aussie Trump' on 8 March.
Mr. Trump, then known as Mr Dawkins, was a short member of the One Nation of Pauline Hanson of February last year until he resigned in December after a fight with the political party.
He said he was a fan of the American president's style and was encouraged by his successful re -election campaign.
“I admire the fact that in a very short period he has wrapped part of the absurd nonsense that left pushes,” he said.
He claimed that the 'authoritarian labor government' repeatedly pushed the legislation in WA without leaving the first home to properly 'investigate and debate' the bills.
“It is completely unacceptable that what they have done, and there must be a political process like this to draw people's attention to it.”

WA's Labor government is on the way to maintain power in the State elections.
Analysts say that the liberal and national parties could regain blue-ribbon seats, but it is unlikely that they secure enough to expel Labor Premier Roger Cook.
Labor has 53 seats in the lower house with the liberals and subjects that each have three.
To win the government, the conservative parties should make an extraordinary change, said political analyst John Phillimore.
“Labor won so much last time, almost everyone's expectation is that they will win,” said Professor Phillimore, the executive director of the John Curtin Institute of Public Policy of Curtin University.
“There have been no major scandals and they have not caused too much upset for too many people.”
Prof Phillimore said that Labor would undoubtedly lose some seats to the liberal national alliance, but it would still have a 'comfortable' victory.
The victory of Labor 2017 was the largest in the history of the state at that time and claimed 41 seats for the age of 18 of the conservatives.
That result was surpassed in 2021 when the then Prime Minister Mark McGowan Labor led to an unprecedented victory of landslides, mainly because of the treatment by the party of the COVID-19 Pandemie and the closed border policy.
“To win the elections, the (liberal and subjects) effectively win 25 seats between them,” said Prof Phillimore.
“That just seems too many steps they can take.”
