I saved £300 by buying the £1.80 nails from Primark – they take 2 minutes to apply
MANY people enjoy getting their nails done at the salon, but if you want to keep up this habit, it can be expensive.
However, one woman said she has now saved £300 but has skipped her nails at the hairdressers and gone to Primark instead.
Savvy shopper Teigan admitted she likes to buy fake nails from the budget retailer as part of her beauty routine.
And luckily they’re not too expensive, costing just £1.80 each.
On her @teig4444 account, she said, “The biggest money saver.
“Primark £1.80 nails.
“I have had acrylic nails chronically for 4+ years, this has saved me so much money.
“And it only takes two minutes to put them on and change them once a week.”
Teigan said the quality of Primark nails is great and they last a whole week.
She added: “They are so sustainable.
“I’m never going back.”
It’s amazing how much money beauty lovers have saved by not going to the hairdresser anymore.
She said: “I saved almost £300 by using these instead of acrylic nails.”
In a clip, she showed off the fake nails she wore from Primark, which were a chic round style with French tips.
Teigan even had some tips for people who wanted to apply fake nails at home.
She said, “It’s all about the preparation!”
“You need to dry your nails thoroughly and use a ROUGH nail file, apply a thin layer of glue over the entire nail bed AND on the inside of the nail and press and hold for 30-40 seconds.”
Teigan says she adds some clear nail polish over the top to make the design last longer. She also only uses Primark glue to apply the polish.
She added: “My nails are so dry from using it, but they’re not nearly as damaged as they would be with acrylic nails.”
Her look has garnered a lot of likes and comments from Primark fans.
One added: “I love them.”
Primark’s best deals for autumn
Heading to Primark soon? Keep an eye out for these items.
Here, Fabulous fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals her top six Primark buys this autumn.
Coat£60
I know what you’re thinking: ‘£60 for Primark?’ Yes, it’s more expensive than we’re used to from Primark, but it’s worth every penny.
This one is from their Edit range, which is more expensive than the rest of their collection and is built to last.
It is a wool blend that is durable and warm, and has a timeless straight silhouette that is slightly oversized and will last not only this season but also beyond.
Bag, €16
Big bags are back… Finally, in a big way.
This bag exudes luxury with its croc effect and dark orange colour. Plus it’s ideal for carrying your laptop, lunch, change of shoes, bag – basically everything you need for the day. And all for £16.
Jacket£32
Field jackets are very popular this season with celebrities and catwalk models. Designer brands like Barbour, Burberry and Bottega wear the utilitarian look.
They are great to wear over jeans or as a contrast to a floral or flowy dress. They are also the perfect in-between jacket.
Dress£18,
You’ve probably seen, heard and read that leopard print won’t go away at all in the fall. To illustrate the trend, this dress is a must-have.
Sleeves? Check. Midi length? Check. Ultra-flattering square neck? Check. It’s got it all.
Pair it with black over-the-knee boots or your favorite sneakers during the day and go for a chic look in the evening with gold heels and accessories.
Jeans£16
Barrel-shaped, balloon-shaped, horseshoe-shaped – whatever you call them, they are this season’s must-have trouser styles.
I tried on a pair from Primark and they fit great, are comfortable and flattering.
So if you think you don’t have anything that meets the fashion, you can trade in your favorite denim for this model and be completely up-to-date again.
Bootand, £24
It’s boot season and instead of feeling like you have to buy boots in every color, length, and height, opt for one pair that you can wear with most of your wardrobe.
My jaw nearly dropped when I saw that these black, knee-high, block heel, flat toe and side zip shoes (so I don’t have to take them off at the end of the day) were just £24.
If you buy one thing this season, make it this.
